I will say this though. I conceal carry a gun. If an establishment tells me I can't carry and something like a mass shooting would happen, I would consider a lawsuit in that situation. I don't ask you to protect me but when you keep me from protecting myself that is an entirely different thing.

It's private property. They have the right to refuse those who carry weapon, conceal or not. If you don't like it, don't enter. It may sound heroic that you're defending yourself but you don't know the outcome of such circumstances. They can easily sue you for carrying a conceal weapon if they have warning sign in place. Heck, victim could sue you for causing them trauma. Anyone with a concealed weapon could be a nut job too.

Not trying to be heroic at all. Just want a fighting chance if something would happen. In Pa. It is not against the law to carry in an establishment even if it's stated you can't. Worst they can do is ask you to leave. I don't know how you think a business could sue you for carrying? What's funny is, and you're falling for it yourself, is that those who have an intent to do harm don't follow the laws anyway. Do you think someone who is planning a mass shooting will not do it because there is a sign on the door saying no firearms? There was another nightclub shooting just the other day. Guess who stopped it from becoming much worse?

I am in full agreement with you. The most offensive thing about the anti-gun corner of this country (and the hot air that regularly escapes Europe's hole) is that all of their arguments rely on a caricature. A stereotype. A smear. Take your pick.

Any potential shooter will have no idea who else is carrying in a situation where guns are allowed. If no guns are allowed, the odds are pretty high that only the person looking to kill people will be armed.

Yea that's how I took it. Somewhat knowing your beliefs from the things you post I was a little taken aback. Glad we got it straight.

I don't think mass shooters are concerned with armed targets.

The targets would then have to worry about getting hit by the armed target. Then could sue them in the process.

I guess just pray to Jezzuz.

Teenage girl sends her suicidal teenage boyfriend text after text telling him to get on with it. And he did. :(

I don't know what the legality is but it's ****ing awful.

Without reading it I assumed it was a case of the guy holding her to ransom with threats of suicide and eventually she got fed up and called his bluff. Instead it seems she went above and beyond to encourage him to kill himself?

Exactly right. I clicked it with the same expectation bit apparently this girl is a real ghoul.

I don't think there is any legality in suicide case. They can provide evidence that he was contemplating killing himself prior to that text (no cause-effect). Furthermore, there's always arguments about paradoxical intervention (though that's a poor defense). She may be terrible but it's not her fault he did it.

It's a lot of stress for someone to put that on you. Even if she is a *****, she probably didn't understand the magnitude of something like that until after it happens.
In all fairness, I believe if someone wants to kill themselves, there's really nothing to stop them. Even psychologists can't stop it. We can make "do no harm" contracts that really don't do much.

That will set quite a precedent if they get her for this. It's definitely shady that she sent a different text to a friend acting like she was trying to stop him while was actually encouraging him--like she was trying to cover her ass for what she was telling him and hoping no one found out.

there was a guy like that when i was in school. his girlfriend broke up with him and every day he kept telling her he would off himself unless they went back together,
after a couple of weeks she got a new bf and the guy cut his arms and hands at home but didn't really hurt himself. we never saw him after that.

I know this is different but i was reminded of him, no one knows where they sent him or what happened.

i've seen a couple of those at work.
from shatheads to legit nutjubs. the use of self harm to manipulate the system, never gets old.

They're actually proceeding to trial on this. The girl kept egging on this kid to do it; it's an incredibly messed up story and the girl is a pos but I don't get how anyone can be held responsible for what someone else does.
