Every year now I have to do a wellness program for a $500 yearly credit into my premium. I also have to re-up my benefits, even if I'm not changing anything because if you don't they assume you're a smoker and raise it.
Same here....the check out BMI now also.
Being in the business I can tell you most of the people we see everyday are the same people every month...
Their conditions for the most part are lifestyle related and they end up seeing us for a simple refusal to change the thing that is keeping them on medication and in the doctors office....
Some are chronic patients due to no cult of their own....
But it is definitely and 70/30 split...
People who believe their health is out of their control spend WAY more time and resources then people who take control of their lives.
