Imagine if they had to suffer the 1.0 figure all that time like the rest of us. They get to go straight to the proper one, as is right.
yup. My wife doesn't give a **** but my teenage daughter, who lost a corrupted My Little Pony kingdom a couple years back, has shown a touching degree of sympathy.
I hate it when a company releases an updated 2.0 figure and someone says "I'm so pleased I didn't get the other one that was released 25 years ago".

It makes it pretty easy to pass on Marvel and DC stuff if your circumstances require you to - because hey, there'll be a new version or redo of any given character just down the road.I'm just annoyed by re-releases in general. The products are undoubtedly improved (in most cases), but it'll only be a matter of time before Hot Toys releases 3.0s.
In the end, we're just needlessly chasing a semblance of perfection in our figures that we'll never be satisfied with. There's something tragic in that.
That's a lot of building to say goodbye to I never got round to building a cool monorail that travelled that far. Loads of stuff in storage too that I was going to fill the new land with. A while back I might've taken hi-res screen caps and stitched together a detailed map for posterity, but I don't know if I'm nerd enough anymore. Not something I hate… probably more on topic for the Love thread…. But here is my town as of today.
We sort of touched on this in another thread but this is sort of why I'm more interested in statues these days. As an example, for the longest time (I think since 2007), the sideshow Anakin PF was the only large scale EP3 Anakin statue around. It's only now, almost 20 years later, that we're getting new 1/4 scale versions from Iron Studios and Blitzway. After 20 years, you definitely feel like the upgrade is warranted, but it's starting to become a bit annoying when it's happening every 2-3 years in the 1/6 scale arena. And this is coming from someone who used to not mind upgrading since it sort of is the nature of the hobby that "new and improved" versions are bound to be released. Just feels like I'm turning over the collection fast and faster for the next new version of X character when it comes to 1/6 scale stuff.I'm just annoyed by re-releases in general.
