the one thing people will get the most defensive of is their culture, their customs and their religion. that is one of the hardest things for a person to ever change. Sometimes it impossible.

you are telling them that they way they view the world for the past 20-30 years is wrong, that their parents and their teachers were wrong. Some people will rather fight than to wake up.
