It's going that way in the UK, there was an uproar recent about subway now using halal meat or something, whatever.

Everyone nowadays is afraid to offend someone or some group, country needs to grow a spine.

the irony being that if a celebrity or someone offends a specific group or person even if they didnt mean to, they get bullied and harassed to the end of the world by hunderds of people.
so yeah, trying to spread equality awareness by bullying and harassing with death threats, :cuckoo: :lol

When you have a culture that will threaten death to someone at the drop of a hat, it can be kind of intimidating.

Like hey, I'm a new arrival to your generous country, but draw a picture of my imaginary friend and I'll cut your head off.

And don't even think about your son courting my daughter. We don't breed with infidels. First cousins yes. Infidels, no.

I remember back in 2004 (when I was finishing my senior year of high school), there was a girl in my Health class who burst into tears one day. She told the teacher that she has a boyfriend, but her Pakistani parents were forcing her to marry her first cousin. Besides, that **** isn't even legal in New York. So, I have no idea how they could do something like that...

Then there was another incident a few years ago. There was a Bengali girl in my Japanese language class who complained that here parents wouldn't allow her to go on a field trip to Washington D.C. When I asked her about it, she said it was because they didn't want her hanging out with other kids who aren't from Bangladesh :lol.

I remember reading how sometimes when the kids of extremely religious parents go to college, and they are confronted with reality, the shock of it is so strong some of them even contemplate suicide and fall in severe depression. Specially when they go to a science class. I remember some girl saying that it took her a long time to accept that what they were teaching her when she was little was bs, and it was hard to recover from that

The one thing I'm very thankful for, is that my parents never, ever, forced religion on me. I was never even involved in a church or anything, but I came to accept (and believe) in Christ on my own.

The girl from my Japanese class, by the way, was a Philosophy major :lol. I knew she had problems at home, but at least from the surface, she appeared to have things under control and wasn't suicidal or anything.
