People starting threads for figures that haven't even been teased yet. Is being the person that started the thread such a big deal that you have to do it a year before the movie is released?

I'm at the point I don't even go into the Marvel threads much anymore because it's just too cluttered up with "discussion" threads on a figure that MIGHT happen. It's becoming a mess.

On the one hand, pretty obvious choice for Hot Toys, it is their staple license. On the other hand, if there's any ''prestige'' or any sales-boosting hype attached to a figure being MMS300, then Iron Man certainly did not need it.

Yeah, it really didn't require the "MMS300" graphic and why skip MMS297-8 just to leapfrog to 299-300? It sort of makes it seem like they couldn't wait to announce Mark XLV but why? Everyone knew it was coming and delaying it until after 297-8 PO'd wouldn't have made a whit of difference. Odd marketing, IMO.
