Would have been nice to have a place to discuss the film for those few who did enjoy it....
But you had to wade though pages of diatribes, hundreds of pages of the same people saying why they hated it and it ***** their childhood, and people posting one line posts over and over.......just to have a talk with those who wanted to talk about the film....
And not about much they hates it....

The movie WAS discussed brother. As soon as it came out it had real discussion. I replied with serious posts to your questions before brother.
JAWS and khev discussed it at great lenght. Dont tell me it wasnt.
I had to skip dozens and dozens of " real discussion" pages to see if anyone had replied to me. Sometimes i had to go back 30 PAGES to get to where i last posted lol. 30 pages of REAL TALK
The fact that JAWS and khev posted so often with such long real discussion posts proves it. They are proof that there was Real discussion. Specially JAWS. He definitely took it seriously.
The problem is that by january there was nothing else to talk about and the thread went in circles. How many times did people made the same argument? I would come in and see the same exact points every couple of days.....

Yeah , I did see some discussion, but I am not taking about the discussion of it was good or bad....I am talking about discussing the plot and character arcs, without judgement, just discussing what happens in the film and where it would take the story.
That discussion was buried. It was nothing more than a fight every time someone tried to talk about it objectively , and the thread was constantly derailed in favor of judgements and political discussions.
All you have to do is pick any page in the thread and it proves the point.
It’s probably best to leave it closed, it attracts trolls.....
And why would someone goto a different thread to discuss a movie that’s in the movie thread?
Maybe next time we have a big release we need 2 threads for it....one to bash it for people who hate it, and one for people who like it and want to discuss the actual film?

That’s why with every new release I come in, say my piece, check in every so often to get a good chuckle, then move on to the next thing
I have LITERALLY (And I do mean Literally) have mentioned this at least 4-5 times (one was for batman v superman, one was for dark knight rises etc) where I suggest that we get two threads for each movie, literally saying what you just said. and i was mocked and ridiculed by BOTH the attackers AND the lovers.

that it would just be like spam or that it would probably invite more trolling. I think i even tried to make one of those threads and the thread was deleted I think. so yeah, what you just said, im gonna save you the trouble of mentioning it over there and that is a strong NO! As to why would you go to another section? simple, very simple. Because the movie section has a lot of movie fans, but NOT just star wars fans. thats why you get the arguing that you get. you get everyone. everyone piles up.
the star wars section... obviously, has Star Wars Fans.... the cantina is full of hardcore star wars fans. if you wanted to discuss how amazing the movie was or you wanted nothing but positive comments about it then wouldn't the best place to do that is... well, where the Good loyal fans were? i mean, seems rather simple.
that section didnt have any of the trolling or the hate. that section is literally what you are asking for. a section of nothing but positive posting.
it would be much easier for you go to there to praise the movie than to change the nature of the movie section (Im not talking about the trolling, but i am talking about the clashing of different opinions)
