I hate it already and I haven't even started yet. I have a yard full of these suckers and I swear if I had a ton of extra money, I'd have my neighbor's tree cut down. It's a Sweet Gum tree.

Rake them in the owners yard.

The old out I used to live was across the street from a gigantic oak tree. And of course all those leaves would wind up in my yard. I would rake that **** into the street. :lol

Those are a pain in the *** to rake! I get as many as I can back on his side, but they're light and blow all over with gusty wind. Putting them back sometimes comes back to haunt me later. :lol

That my brother is travelling down from scottyland to see me today, 1st time I'll be seeing him in 13 years !.

I'm scared ****less, hoping it will be okay and trying not to freak out :panic:

:lol, no wedgies, he's bigger than me and was a squaddie so can be a tough nut.

Thanks so much peeps :1-1:

It has been an incredible weekend. He left about an hour ago as he's going to meet a couple of old mates across town before they (he and his wife to be) head back up north.

It has been a weekend of firsts that's for sure.

*First time seeing my big bruv in 13 yrs.

*First time meeting his lovely other half.

* First time I got a hand drawn picture from one of my nieces.

*First time we talked about 'family stuff' since our dad died in '96, including our currently dying sister.

An unreal/ amazing / tearful / emotional and painful (physically and mentally) weekend, but he kept holding me, looking after and supporting me while I cried, panicked and winced in pain when trying to move. He always did protect me when we were younger as I'm the youngest and I used to follow him around :lol. I've missed that, I've missed him.

I'm so exhausted now. I feel like I could sleep for a month.

He looks so well, so happy and I'm so proud of him.

I don't care how sappy it sounds, I love my Big Bruv :lecture.
x :)
