I'm also pretty content with the fact that my life is a means to living. I don't think it gets any higher than that, as far as purposes go. In a universe of unconscious, indestructible, inanimate matter and energy, being a conscious, volitional being of conditional existence is the most meaningful position you could possibly ask for.

it is more like, we do we post here? why do we go to the movies? why do we celebrate holidays, or decorate our houses? or go to expensive restaurants or buy gifts for people, or fill our closets with stuff we will barely ever wear again...
sometimes it feels we do so much stuff that seems so meaningless. do all these things really give us joy or matter in any way?

It is good that you ask these question. You are becoming more aware. We live and learn from society/culture. The bad part is sometimes it create stress of fitting in or false expectation. Learn to let go. Find peace and happiness from within.
