Thanks for the correction on the inclusive system. I was just assuming that given the SW popularity, this would make pre-ordering easier for all of the line. The inclusive system just seemed to make sense, letting the orders dictate the exclusive size. A Momow Nadon inclusive would self-regulate for an edition size, based purely on demand, but it makes sense to use this system for the heavy hitters!

Maybe the excl. (or incl.) accessory will be the 1/2 battledroid he used to open the doors during the last reel. Frankly, I'd like to see an alt. super-pissed-teeth-bared head, but the calm face is more what he was like for most of the film. I just remember the teeth-bared expression because it was one of the highlights if the trailer.

Yeah, that would actually be a cool exclusive... just for those badass fighting poses... or to recreate the trailer scene...

A HUGE window, this one will have an ES of at least 10K.

Retailers can't be happy.

So will the regular edition be more limited now? The inclusive version will have a huge edition size.

It would seem so. In fact, given that most people who want the figure will order it during the inclusive window, I really don't understand the point of the regular edition at all. Whatever ES they put on it, it will take forever to sell out, unless, of course, it comes to be perceived as the more exclusive (i.e., rare) piece, and it therefore goes up in value (something I don't see happening for a long time with the inclusive figure).

With Maul going up tonight, will we see the newsletter earlier than usual? Even with inclusive ordering, I know a lot of you yahoos are going to still try and order exactly at 6:00 and it might slow things down a little.

I use the word "yahoos" lovingly.

Well - it does have a 1 piece limit - so if you want to display Maul as per the Desert Duel and the Theed Duel - you'll need two! Also remember there will still be some fans who get on board late - or at the stage in their life where they can't afford these sort of figures now (That would be me 10 years ago!) and then they catch up later. Or they can't justify the International shipping costs (it basically doubles the cost of the figure).

I just wish I could get my two copies direct from Sideshow - just to make it simpler. Oh well.

I suppose the other reason is that if you DON'T live in the US - you save a heap on shipping by buying from a local distributor - which I really should start doing when the exclusive item is crappy. When they don't do a regular edition that option disappears.

And Maul will make good Cannon Fodder for a custom Zabrak Jedi - if you can figure out how to add hair ;)
