I think the Thor is a great sculpt but I think it could be way better if some small paint shading was done to the base and beard, maybe even the flesh tones.

I got this a while ago.... the box is so damn big I don't even want to open it. Couple that with the fact that Sideshow's QC has me conditioned to fear opening new products....


I should open it soon so that I can at least start the replacement process.

everyone hates it and can't even get retail on ebay. don't even bother looking because you'll hate yourself for wasting the time to do so. just put up a sale thread for $300, someone is bound to buy it eventually.

I have much love for mine, Sideshow keeps hitting home runs. Be prepared for a no holds barred wrestling match getting the Thunder God out of the box though.

Yeah u'd be very sorry, ok here's the scenario on how bad of an idea it is... I'm national bodybuilder as a part-time job for now until I get on the juice, LOL, just joking about the juice part but anyways the other part is tru and I had a hella time gettn the big a$$ out of his box, not to mention carrying the huge box up to my loft... I was thinking to myself man there's gotta be some guys are the forum that call their neighbor or a close collector friend to have them both squat this mother and pry him from the box.

Mind you, you could always dump the big ole bastard but then that wouldn't be delicate and gentle like u should handle all your babies (statues) now would it? LOL

I was afraid that you might be listening to others who are telling you to "buy it" just because it's their favorite statue, etc. without caring about the aftermath. When others make those statement or opinion, they might not think how you're spending $500+ that has a potential of going wrong during shipment.

My personal suggestion is to buy one with a box so that you can avoid mishap. Be patience. The right one will come to you someday. I have learned from eBay not to chase after something you want so badly. You WILL find yourself overpaying the item. Put yourself on the waitlist this Thurday for the Hulk diorama. After that, you'll probably be more excited about waiting for the new diorama than the PF. The Hulk PF will come to you when least expected, just like my Dr. Doom and Iron Man. :chew
