The middle disc had quite a scuff in it, which can clearly be felt with your nail and fingertip. Shows up from ten feet away. There was a lighter scuff on one below his belt as well, but this was the big one. Totally unacceptable, despite this being one of the greatest statues I have ever seen in person. The worst part is I will be out the huge shipping fees plus customs charges getting it here. Balls.

Ryan

Does Sideshow not refund the total cost? I mean including the shipping and the taxes?
Seems unfair that you would pay those for a mistake that they made...

wow, guess i'm one of the lucky ones who has an EX version without any flaws. maybe i can flip it for $1,000,000.00 considering how rare it will be.:naughty:rotfl:lol

:rotfl

Eh.....A rattle here, rattle there. Hey who's countin'? :lol

i'm sure that all the minty statues i have, that someone could find something wrong with everyone of them.:horror
all i can say is that i'm glad i'm not that much of an anal collector, cause i just couldn't see myself enjoying my pieces as much if all i could do is look for flaws all the time.

not saying that everyone should get what they feel they pay for, but let's get real here, how can you expect a third world labourer making next to pennies a day to be a brain surgeon, when it comes to $300 statues.
but ehh. that's just me. go ahead start flaming me for it.:banana:banana:banana

True......if you look close enough on any statue , you could probably find a tiny flaw....As long as it's not noticable ,it wouldn't bother me too much .

No, I TOTALLY agree with you. EVERY statue is going to have SOME kind of imperfection. The only thing that important to ME is that it isn't substantial or too noticeable. I decided to return my Thor just because it has SEVERAL things wrong with it, and it was kinda noticeable. PLUS, if I WERE try to sell this down the road I'm sure the buyer would be annoyed if they paid a premium price for it and saw some imperfections... Here's what was wrong with my Thor PF:

1)Hand didn't go all the way into the wrist. Part of the peg showed
2)The letter "p" in the word "power" on the hammer wasn't inscribed all the way, and it looked like a letter "D".
3)Small paint chip on left bicep
4)Small paint chip on outer side of right foot
5)Foot didn't go all the way into the base
6)Pin size hole on top portion of left knee cap of boot

My base has a rattle noise if I shake it at a certain angle. Some angle...I can't even hear it. I think it's SOOO minor that I decided to keep it. I have no plan on shaking the base ever again :)

well, i had to go look at the "P" in power and yeah it's a tiny "D" :lol:lol
funny how i never even noticed it before.
though it almost looks like the lower part of the "P" is actually there, it appears that is has been filled in with possibly excess paint, since i can certainly see where the "P" should have been, and ended.
oh well, guess i'll live with it, or someday maybe i'll get brake and try a little chiseling:horror

it certainly appears that this little goof might be more common that we think, since it's very easy to overlook.

Wonder if there's any kind souls who can take some photos of these cape areas so I can know how it shld actually look like?:angelsmil

Damn! SS replied me they hv no more replacements...guess cos I'm situated in Asia.

Really like the statue. Any suggestions if I shld send back to SS & get another from the secondary mkt at a higher price or just bear with this defect? :banghead

Dang! Already out of replacements?!?! :horror I didn't think that would be the case since I haven't heard of many defects. Hopefully my backup plan pulls through for me. C'mon Will!!!!!!! :banana

Sideshow pic from website also is missing the "P", u might not find one with a P as it looks like a all across the board lil D...
