If I end up having to send mine back, is Sideshow also responsible for refunding the taxes/duty/brokerage fees?

Sideshow pic from website also is missing the "P", u might not find one with a P as it looks like a all across the board lil D...

:lol:lol must of been a bad mold or something, oh well i'm not going to worry about it, sht i must of read it 3-4 times, and i never even noticed it till it was pointed out on here. i'm sure if it really bugs some people it could be fixed easily.

i'll have to wait and see if my second one is the same, and if it is, then most of them are going to be the same.

Yeah that one I wouldn't consider being a flaw... but the others like wobbly legs, not fitting on the stand, broken legs, broken cape, chest plate cylinders being pressed, belt being pressed or smudged those I would consider way more damaging... :lol

oh no! well, is your damage that bad? If not, you can always bring it to LCS to repair.
Where are you from? I can recommend some very gd LCS for you. :D

Thks Beachfox. Mine has chipped edges & rough paintjob at the cape area. I suspect it's already chipped even before painting as the chipped edges are colored & there's no residue inside the box. Don't think SS's QC even bother abt it & ship to international buyers.

I'm from Singapore. We hv a local modeller shop here who specialize in repairing statues but their charges are high as there's not many who specialize in doing this.

This Thor has already cost me quite a fair bit from SS due to the shipping charges. Factoring in this repair cost if I send it to my LCS, I could hv got a new one from the secondary market if I top up slightly more. Tht's why I'm now in a dilemma. :(

Hi rustyboy, I'm from Singapore too. :D

You mean xenomorph LCS?

Sorry to hear that. But the only way is that you can either repair it or sell it at low price. :monkey2

Yes mine is Ex version. I've emailed SS if the refund is inclusive of the shipping fee but they've yet to reply. If it doesn't, I'll be even more mad! I've to forego US$200+ shipping fees for them nt being able to provide my replacement?!

I hope not.

Well, keep your finger cross. :D
If they doesn't refund your shipping fee, then I think you better repair it, cheaper than forego your US$200+ shipping fees :naughty

Yah man! It'll be a major bummer if they don't provide full refund. :banghead

SS just replied they'll pay the full refund including shipping. Now deciding to send back for full refund or send for repair.

Well, you can check how much is the repair at LCS before decide whether to send back and get a full refund.
If the repair is cheap, then go for it.. :D

even if it does cost a bit, i would seriously look at keeping it, since one off of the secondary market will cost more anyways, and who's to say the second one you get will be any better. it could even be worse:horror

i think sideshow has offered some sort of refunds on damaged items when they can't supply with a replacement. usually not alot, i've heard around the $50 range depending on the amount of damage. they're better off offering some sort of discount, than paying $200 return shipping, and on top of that refunding your shipping costs also.

i would ask them anyways, it can't hurt.:peace

Yes Beachfox bro. Tht's worth considering if the fix is cheap.

well I got the same message.. $50 refund to keep it or a full refund and return it.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix the belt on mine?

can a guy remove the belt, by taking of the buckle and cutting the belt??
then you could just repaint the whole belt and reattach it.

The 2nd pic shows rough paintjob? You meant the dots/bubbles? I think that is easily overlooked.

But the chipped cape, that looks strange, which part of thor is that?

Yours could be the battle damaged version :rotfl

Yes, the 2nd pict shows rough paintjob with hardened bubbles or something.
The chipped cape edge is near Thor's right thigh/waist area.

Yah man, initially I still tot it's part of the design, to hv a portion of battle-damaged cape. Decided to post some photos to the forum to reconfirm but was informed tht's a defect.:google
