I like it. Will this be up for PO this Thorsday?

Good man. I like it to & day one order from me

Yes

As for the posse I think that it really works for the hammer, but not at all with the sword.

I hate the sword but being a UK collector that's all good for me because I much prefer buying local.

But with the price I'm quite disappointed in SS. I'm definitely going to be much much more selective if this is going to be the norm :(

I am not one to complain about price, but this is getting ridiculous. I wasn't interested in this statue, but every new piece they are releasing is increasing in price. I have only been collecting for 8 months but the new prices are making eBay and secondary prices not look bad. I think this may be why they are jacking up prices. They see the inflation in the aftermarket, and figure, why not get a piece of that, knowing people pay it. I have to say, that this completely takes out the "impulse" purchases for me now. I will buy only what abaolutely means something to me... Which is probably what I should be doing anyway :)

$440 though it baffles me. The higher PF was what $399 obviously excluding the huge characters like Hulk so where does the extra 40 suddenly come from? I'm not one to moan about price's but this is a big jump & I see nothing to justify it.

The sword itself looks ok, the straight up angle that it's positioned isn't great. Works for the hammer cuz it looks like mid-swing, shoulda done the same for the sword. I still like the figure though at $440 I may just get this and pass on the new Hulk.

Me personally I started off by just buying Batman and explaining that over time and flexpays there are so many other things that we waste money on a daily or monthly basis that won't be around. Also the fact that consumables don't appreciate either lol. However as the POs started going up and she started seeing how much there were (I always tell her the value I pay) I'm sure she was concerned. But she also appreciates that these are something I've grown up with as a child and from the time we started dating she's really embraced my I interests and lifestyle and has adopted those things as her own; not all but most. I have turned someone that knew something or other about comics and movies into someone you'd want on your pictionary/charades team. I've taken someone that has never seen a Star Wars movie and turned her into fanatic over The Galaxy. We marathon movies now lmao. Best friend ever. Son that helps me a lot. That she shares in my overall vision and wonder over it. Now this truly is a reflection of ourselves and only we can truly understand one another for the most part. Outside my wife there are some that saw Batman and understood that but they also don't realize I have like 10 more on the way. The ones that realize each piece is roughly 4 bills, trips the **** out because most ppl wouldn't drop that sorta money on a comic statue or collectible. But they would drop 800 bucks on the next toy apple puts out 3 months after the last, so to each his own. I'll stick to you guys. And Andy bro, you could buy us all Ferraris lol

Good point - I don't get why this is more expensive than catwoman.

Thor is one of the larger folks in the M.U. (At least I think he is... He's listed as 6'6" 640 lbs.) Which if you're making a statue of him, it'll mean he is bigger than the average statue, thus a higher price point.

Just my .02 though...

Brilliant message. My gf doesn't like them but accepts them. She's my best friend too and doesn't like the cost but allows me to be me.

You know, as a Sideshow freak, and a long time collector I expect prices to rise on occasion. I expect inflation....but this is ridiculous. However that being said i was down to get this at 399, so I have a compromise. I'm going to take $40 in reward points and apply it to this PF and drop it back down to the price I think it should be at, and the Sideshow price deciders can bite me  :cuss:

Would like to have seen Jarnbjorn as the exclusive.

Me too.

Especially with this costume. Aside from Mjolnir, Jarnbjorn is the most relevant weapon to Modern Thor. Huge part of Uncanny Avengers. And it would have probably fit the pose better than that huge Odinsword.

$440...yikes!!!

Definitely scratching some upcoming wants off my list! I have to face that I'm not going to have all the characters I want with these prices.

From Igo over at SF. I guess the original Ex was Thog

Thor Frog was originally the exclusive, then we wanted to sell him separately, so this…

Again, my stance on an exclusive isnt a "MUST HAVE" it's a "nice to have" and I think Thor with his fathers sword is gawd dayum bad-***…

Dont get it, it's fine, get it from a retailer.

That sword ex looks so makeshift. Haha.

Like they took it from a toy, and forced it in his hand.

Wow that made the decision easy for me. I really dislike the Ex and the price is something I can live without when I have Hulk as a higher priority. phew....

I don't get the sword. I mean, the sword alone looks cool...it's a huge intimidating sword, but I cannot recall seeing Thor use a sword. And, where is his hammer when he's using the sword? Would have been cool if they had a separate hammer that could attach to his belt. It would also have been cool if the sword attached to the base instead, like a sword in the stone kind of idea. It's just a really odd choice for me.

That said...day 1 PO. I love the statue otherwise, and it costs me the same whether I get the reg or EX, so EX it is.
