So I'm guessing the Reg will be about £310 posted in the UK. SS seriously need to take a price freeze.
I will get it because I need it but after this & Doom there's not going to be much more I essentially need. Other than Dare Devil & Wolverine

I had an idea this would be expensive though

This is getting stupid ...... SS with their inflated prices and HUGE Edition sizes is getting pretty money hungry and I think they are forgetting their base who made them the company they grew into. I started collecting back with my Punisher CQ at $250, Statues were 200-300 ..... within the last year they have went up 100-200 per statue and the detail on some is sub par/quality control has been garbage with the last 3 statues I got. I think I may call a timeout on collecting Sideshow.

It's horrible, worst pose I've ever seen bar none. What the hell were they thinking when they decided to go to production with this pose? This would be a no brainer but the pose makes it a not happening. Thor frog maybe :)

Couldn't agree more, but when I had an argue with people about es's , quality control, and prices would still support SS in every way.

Thor modern pf + Thor frog diorama are the "old ex of SS"

It's like a scam disguised...

Why they can't just adhere to illustrations rather than do this insult to thor?

No doubt this will be the new standard PF price...
Until it hits $480 next week.

Do you think so? I was surprised to the see the Reeve Superman PF released at $425 and then realised that $25 was to be donated to the Reeve Charity...now I see this Thor is even higher :horror if your right then I can see a number of collectors being forced to quit...and maybe turn to custom pieces :dunno seems more value for money these days with customs...

P.S. Now I'm praying they don't put up the LSF prices :panic:

Thor with the Hammer is not to bad looking but he looks ridiculous with the sword.

I expect before the end of the year the standard price for a PF will be $500, the price tag won't stop me from buying but I will be extremely selective on what I do buy from now on.

Customs are really expensive, your talking $1k+ easily depending on what it is.

After reading the overwhelmingly positive response this piece received, I held off making a comment until the preview was posted.

Personally, i don't really care for the face on the sculpt (just a personal preference) and the pose, even if accurate, makes it look like the EX was going to be a tutu (or whatever they call ballet skirts).

I totally think that this piece may have a strong presence in-person, however, and the $440 price tag may help to keep the ES lower for those of you who care about that.

Congrats to those of you who love this but I can't bring myself to order it at this time. Looking forward to SDCC pictures. :)

The price is a bit wacky for me, and the Ex is not a must ... weird that SSC keeps making the Ex's less and less appearling. The Odin Sword is just not nearly as cool as say a spinning hammer or a lighting strike.

While I'm not ecstatic about the sword, I'm please to know that at least the hand is removeable, may look into getting a spinning hammer commissioned.
