I don't think jbinny is asking $1500.... That's a bit steep. But I don't think that SS PF's or comiquettes will EVER reach $1000 retail... That would KILL there income. Not everyone would be able to afford that... Plus, the only statues that have the right to charge that much would be CinemaquetteTheir statues are just AMAZING!!!
But of course, SS statues are top notch also, its just that CM statues have many more materials incorporated in their pieces.... making them more expensive to even produce
I'm not so sure. With the limited numbers (1000-2000) and still many geeks with disposable income and Flexpay already in place it would be doable. As we have already seen there are easily 2000 people in this country alone who would still be in at those prices. Of course some of our married collectors may have to find new hobbies with spouses threatening divorce after constantly making request to drop $1000 on "toys". Once again I use Apple as a prime example...you just market to the wealthier segment of this market. Someone has to be looking at the aftermarket and saying to themselves that they are leaving major cash on the table by making their prices affordable to the masses. Of course I hope Sideshow continues as they currently do and that the aftermarket turns it down a few notches. Iron Man is only a comiquette and it's already at $1000...madness! But like wise higher prices will take many of the profiteers out of the market as well. They drop thousands now on multiple purchases, such as four PF at $249 each only to resell each at $500 a pop. That $1000 would no longer get them four PF but only one allowing the serious collector to acquire much needed pieces easier.

It's just the sad unfortunate truth... I have to return so many things back to Sideshow that I have just come to expect it and I now consider it part of the process.

I hear you there. I honestly have never had to send one back until Red Skull, and I'm hoping not to make a habit out of it. But like you're saying it will probably happen sometime down the road, just hopefully not my Thor.
I know this has been brought up before in a different thread, but on a side note, I'm a little worried about the Iron Spidermans when those get sent out. I didn't go to SDCC to see it in person, but the finish looks and reminds me a lot like the Stealth which = trouble. *gets back to topic*

I feel both pissed and relieved. I have been toiling all summer to grab both editions of Thor. I am nearly through procuring the funds for both. Got a system where I have set aside money from my paycheck each week towards the Exclusive Flexpay Edition and have used a portion of my stimulus check for the second. I am disappointed to hear that I have to wait one more month for my babies to come now. But my wallet aint complaining. Now I can by a new pair of work boots and who knows maybe I can even splurge and eat at The Olive Garden.
