Ok, now I get what movie this reminded me of...

Lots of "edgy" silly characters? Check.
Lame one-dimensional villains? Check.
Epic scale of events? Check.
Lots of jokes? Check.

Tone-deaf messy narrative? CHECK!

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] I respect your opinion but at the same time call it all BS lol. After 10 years of the mcu, seeing their last 3 movies and knowing way ahead of time how Thor Ragnarok was going to be (and who the director is)...if you absolutely thought Ragnarok was a ridiculous movie that reminds you of GI Joe then buddy mcu is just not for you.

With all the mixed reactions I’m reading about this film, is the fight between Thor and Hulk at least worth the hype :dunno

Oh, I saw the movie and I'm well aware how badly they butchered the PH elements - turning Korg and Miek into a "Hans and Chewie" funnypair among them, as well as turning Sakaar into a junkyard planet. It seemed less like certain PH elements were incorporated, than elements that were created, given slight similarities to the PH ones, and given their names. And Bruce/Hulk may as well have not been in the film at all, with how little they actually contributed to things and how little they developed.

I have a bit of hope for IW because I expect the Russos to treat the characters and source material seriously and not like a joke, but I'm certainly not holding my breath.

IW is going to be pretty epic Russo brothers are pretty talented Civil War for example was a good movie.

I'm more a fan of Winter Soldier than CW; the latter suffered from having too many "filler" characters (Sam and Scott, for instance). But otherwise, I agree, and I hope you're right.

Without spoiling anything, they were mainly just smacking each other around. There wasn't much in their environment to use, which could've made it more interesting. I personally found it underwhelming. There was a surprise or two, though.

So the brief fight in Avengers still wins..too bad, thought with Hulk in gladiator armor, thought they would fight until they both pass out :thud:

I'm sorry but there is no way Ragnarok is anyway near as bad as that crap G. i. Joe movie. I refuse to believe that!

It's not even close to that abomination called Rise of Crap...if you like the other Thor movies,it's a good 3rd chapter. Entertaining

Maybe the Ragnarok gap will be filled with Black Panther, either that or the IW trailer doesnt make sense either that or that happens in IW...

To be honest i liked the first 2 caps better then civil war but civil was was still a very good movie.

How can anyone stand the vomit inducing shaky quit cut camera work from winter soldier baffles me.
Russo brothers cannot shoot good action if their life depended on it.
All their movies have the camera guy that worked on both blair witch and cloverfield apparenty.

If you see them as an action movie you will be disappointed Marvel is more comedy with bright colors and some action.

I didn't really notice the shaky cam in TWS. I found the shaky cam from the rebooted Star Trek film, and Hunger Games, much more jarring.

I got nauseous in winter soldier and then also at the beginning of civil war. The beginning of civil war is unwatchable

I think this will be a fun time, although I doubt it to be memorable. The biggest thing I would like to see from this is a break from the disposable villian trend. Blanchett looks so good. I want her character to have some substance.
