You are gonna get stuck between two sweaty shirtless dudes reenacting everything they see on the screen.

Cancelled my ticket for the fan event after learning that my regular theatre will have this tonight. 7:00 PM for me.

Still hoping the audience doesn't suck.

Oh, I love the higher prices for these "events":monkey3. In theory it cuts down on *some* of the audience. Plus Thursday night too.

I ain't rich but I wait on a lot of films so figure it evens out for in-theater ticket prices:dunno. And the media blitz + fan comments has been ragingly positive - gotta admit I'm stoked to finally see this.:banana

Seems one of those time when audience and critics agree. I take critics w. plenty of salt tho - someone IMO pointed out that critics review movies like critics e.g. a different perspective than a fan. IMO knowledgeable Thor (and Spidey) fans may well object to their film depictions (also IW, depending).

So I think IM1, TWS, CW will probably remain my most re-watched MCU films - along w. Guardians and Antman. Guess I'll know by tonight.

the third film in the Thor franchise now sits as the highest-scoring movie ever in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, according to the film-review aggregation site.

Yes, although 2008’s “Iron Man” is the undisputed granddaddy of the MCU, its long-reigning score on RottenTomatoes.com (94 percent certified “fresh”) has been eclipsed by “Ragnarok” (96 percent).

That’s not simply an early tally, either. The franchise’s pivot to a more humorous tone is registering with critics at large, as “Ragnarok” (opening Friday) has 125 positive reviews out of 130 total.

Among Marvel universe films, “Ragnarok” is immediately followed on the site’s “Tomatometer” ranking by “Iron Man,” this year’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (92 percent), 2012’s “The Avengers” (92), 2014’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” (91) and last year’s “Captain America: Civil War” (90).

And last on the list of the 17 MCU films? That would be 2013’s “Thor: The Dark World” (66 percent) — meaning that “Ragnarok” rates as the single greatest uptick between films for any Marvel character’s franchise.

“Thor: Ragnarok,” directed by Taika Waititi, has also grossed $109 million overseas as the studio sets its sights on a domestic debut north of $100 million.

I won't be seeing the movie this weekend because my girlfriend and I will be kid free next weekend, but I'm ok with it because my plan is to see it next Saturday after getting back from RI Comic Con where I'll finally be meeting my most favorite Hulk of all, Lou Ferrigno. Ruffalo will be there too but his prices are way too high for my interest.

I'd pay for Ruffalo. Have the warm fuzzies from when he took over as Hulk and liked his performance so much. But no-one interesting ever seems to come where I live, so I'd have to travel to RI - or Arizona I guess a lot of the cast will be at a con in January. Major $$$$$.:(:horror

Ruffalo would be $250 for autograph and picture, Ferrigno is $100 :lol I like Ruffalo, but his Hulk is mainly CGI, where Lou literally was the Hulk.

seeing this tonight, heard it had good reviews so i'm excited

I hope Thor finally gets a good movie

Think it sez positive things that the other Thor movies are enjoyable - I like the characters, great casts. And happy enough to rewatch - always like the part when Odin casts Thor out and Loki.

Not long for me now...Immigrant Song is stuck in my head LOL

Ill be taking my son this weekend. Im sure he will love Goofy thor and goofy hulk, which should be right up a kids alley. I told my wife she will have to sit this one out unless she is game to pay for her own seat. Since she never pay for movies i got the response i expected... honey why dont you and the kiddo go ill sit this one out, and go grocery shopping"" lol. I would have paid for her but i spent way to much on movies this week preordering 3 tickets for both star wars and jl all 3d of course since that was the only showings with good seats available on opening weekend

I quite enjoy Thor, Dark World for me is probably the worst film in the MCU.

no doubt- i almost fell asleep and that is hard to believe as i love films and don't eat popcorn while watching them because it distracts me!
