They did cut to a reaction shot of her right after Hulk roared at the wolf.

Apparently I slept through the finale without realizing it then, lol. Speaking of the finale though, while I'm not sure what score I'd give Ragnarok out of 10 I can say that it easily had the best ending of all cbm's this year.

Logan Canadian forest battle: Weak
WW airport battle: Generic swirling CGI
GotG 2 final battle: Lame with unearned drama
Spider-Man Homecoming plane crash fight: Anti-climactic
Ragnarok finale: Great visuals, music, and laughs that cover any shortcomings

I am glad I cheated and read spoilers tho; w. the expectations I had had in my head re some sort of real IW build-up and some sort of "grim cataclysm" happening - well, guess there's some of that, but nobody seems particularly upset.:monkey3

I actually think it's pretty cool that

Ragnarok actually happened and Asgard was destroyed. 90% of the time in movies like this the title is just a tease as to what MIGHT happen but doesn't. "Armageddon"...not quite. "Age of Ultron"...yeah for like five minutes. "X-Men: Apocalypse"...lol!

But now anyone who wants to see Ragnarok can, well, watch Thor Ragnarok.

I loved it too, it was one of my favorite scenes in the movie. Just because I love DS. It really shows on what level he is, being capable of...

putting Loki in an endless loop, the first Avengers would have been over in minutes with his help

LOL - that was great and also since:

Re the trailer thought we were gonna get that dramatic scene of Loki and the double knife toss - but far as I can tell that trailer scene never shows up. So for me it was great watching Loki whip out some blades.

And then DS getting rid of the both of them so fast LOL. AND Doctor Strange has the gloves.

Besides, to me it makes sense after DS - since these films are inter-connected (except that timeline mess re Homecoming) that DS would be on alert after the loss of the Sorcerer Supreme. That's said outright in DS. So Strange knew that Thor and Loki had arrived - he was watching for stuff like that already. E.g. it meshes perfectly with Thor Ragnarok.

Tho - w. Loki's staff, maybe re the Avengers Loki could hold Strange off. I wonder if the Infinity Stones react w. each other, or can be used against each other - just don't know enough yet. The Soul Stone seems like it can dominate or use all the other stones and I think it's in Wakanda and also wonder if it will be used for Bucky - a comic nod tho in the comix the Tesserac was used to get his memories back.

@ Khev

I agree about the end battle Thor 3 blows those others away that you mentioned.

Lets see what JL brings to the table.

Logan ending battle with the kids almost derailed an otherwise perfect movie.

WW vs debris collecting old british dude was well...stuffy.

Spiderman end battle with Vulture was really a let....ZzzzZzz.

GOTG 2....umm why was Stallone in that lol

Thor 3, me pounding my leg to the music watching Thor kick ass!

Winner God of Sparkles lol

A lot of people think it's in Wakanda, but my money is on Thanos. If it's that powerful it makes sense that he would keep it, he wouldn't give it away like he did with the mind stone.

It did have Logan's touching demise though.

It was well acted, I'll give it that. But I actually felt more sad when Pops "died" at the end of Genisys than Logan so I can't help but feel that the latter missed the mark. But I've just seen Logan the one time and I believe that jye said the feels didn't kick in until viewing #2 so one of these days I'll see if that's true.

Statistically speaking, this year might be the best year for Superhero films ever...unless JL fails.

Logan - 93% RT
Lego Batman - 91%
Wonder Woman - 92%
GOTG2 - 82%
Thor 3 - 93%

Only 2008 and 2012 comes close.

Yes Logan was basically TDK level quality until they want off the rails chasing the kids from "Hook" through the scawey Canadian woods, lol.

Yeah, it didn't "almost derailed" it for me, it completely ruined it. It's great up until the farm, after that it goes downhill.

:lol :lol :lol :lol

Khev I was reading your Spielberg comment while my wife was trying to tell me something and I lol at your comment and she thought I was laughing at her comment lol

I have to carry the laundry downstairs now brb.

Well it's like Steven Spielberg said 10 years ago "superhero movies are dead," lol.

If JL is a box office hit, gets good reviews, and either Logan or WW (Grace thinks it will) can get an Oscar nomination for best picture, then 2017 would be the undisputed "best year ever" for the hero genre.

Hmm. I've seen the film twice and I felt the feels each time. But I'm one who very much embraced Jackman in the role, comic accuracy shmaccuracy, so seeing him killed off after all these years was probably always going to have some sort of impact.

Farm no but when he arrived at the secret location yeah downhill but his death was heartfelt on my 2nd viewing.

Just jumping on what Jye and Khev were saying a page or two back about the action.... I will say yeah the hammer scene in the beginning was awesome and one of my fav comic moments put on screen... I wish all the films let Thor do more with his hammer... Thor 1 had the same thing as Thor 3 but it was almost a blink and you miss it moment.

Anyways if I go see this again I might close my eyes and plug my ears anytime Hulk is on screen.. I think I may be able to enjoy it a lot more :lol
