That looks great. I have high hopes for this one after absolutely loving the first one. I believe it could be the best comic book movie I've seen this year.

Looks promising. I thought the first one was great--much better than Cap A.

Most would say the opposite, but I also preferred Thor over Cap.

Not that Cap was bad mind you.

Now that was awesome......more Loki than the first, he looks great.

I was hoping they'd show the scene were Loki cuts Thor's hand off as the hammer is coming back to him, but this trailer doesn't even show that Loki turns on Thor. Looks like they are keeping that detail a secret for now, somewhat.

Now I'm really wondering what they are going to show at D23 this Saturday....

Where did you see or hear that something that stupid would happen?

I'll freely say that I thought Cap was crap. Well, maybe not crap, but I just thought it was blah bland blah yawn. Zero engagement/emotional connection.

Looks pretty good. I prefer more personal battles between hero and villian rather than big global stakes

:lol What can I say? I'm a cold-hearted *******!

Seriously though. Cap's been the only Avengers Marvel movie that didn't work for me. All the rest I felt a real connection with, and was completely engaged and enthralled. I cared for them all as characters. Hulk? Loved it. Thor? Loved it. Iron Man 1-3? Loved them all. Cap? Eh... :dunno It's a shame because I loved the character when I was a kid (especially John Byrne's run in the early 80s). The movie just didn't work for me (which I largely blame Joe Johnston for), and am frankly a little puzzled as to why others like it so much! :cuckoo: to you too, buddy!

I'm actually with you on this one. I like the first Cap movie, but in general it felt pretty by-the-numbers and I think they skipped through some important points that should have received more focus, such as Cap developing as a real hero. Cap needed more genuine attention and opportunity to develop in Avengers IMO, as a leader and as a character the audience might connect to. But instead, we got another installment in the Robert Downey Jr. and Friends variety hour. Maybe Evans just doesn't have the ability to really hit on the notes Cap needs to hit on, but I'm betting it is the way he is treated in these films. I'm cautiously optimistic that Cap 2 will do a better job.

I actually feel that Thor is also someone it's hard to develop an emotional connection with, but that's more OK because he's always been aloof/detached in the comics because of his god-ness. He was never supposed to be very relatable.

I feel exactly that way about the 2008 HULK film, so there you go. :wink1:

I loved Cap. I liked Thor - I wasn't wowed the first time, but liked it a little more after the second watch. Haven't seen IM3 yet, but there's enough good to overlook the bad in that series as far as I'm concerned.

Just watched the new Thor trailer too - looks great. :rock

I don't know if anyone else has thought this - on any level, but that snippet of Natalie on the balcony in her pretty gown, & then a cut to an angry long haired blonde guy that she loves..

Some unintentional deja vu there.. :monkey1 :lol
