I'd rather them not use Mandarin again, then retcon Trevor as the real Mandarin. :monkey4

As for Loki being the main baddy ATM, it makes sense in a "first contact" aspect, given how advanced Asgard is from Earth.

Well if they don't reuse Kingsley, I hope they use an good actor of asian descent. I know it can be done right without being a dopey caricature.

Eh, sorry ain't got room in the DVR for a Sharkmandarinado special! :rotfl

I like it and completely agree.

However!

It's made far too much money now for them to rethink their Mandarin interpretation. As much as I hate to admit it, I think this one is gonna stick.

LoL @ Loki. Another example of how much things can change once they hit the big screen. It's got to be a little galling for Hemsworth to see Hiddleston steal the show every single time.

I was thinking the same thing. Especially after I seen this new trailer. And it does appear Loki will be the show stealer yet again! Let's face it, he's very likeable!

“My name is George, I’m unemployed and live with my parents.”

Bizarro World. IM3 > Avengers

IM3 showed that Tony IS Iron Man. The kid is his moment of clarity, his anchor in reality (having kids helps with this point). And people need to get over the fact that Mandarin was mentioned in name only in the film. The real Mandarin is still out there. I got this from the film and wasn't at all surprised when Black talked about that in an interview afterward. Were there cheesy aspects? Absolutely. But the story as a whole was considerably better and tighter than the silly plot and Phantom Menace ending of Avengers.

Tony is a poor Iron man. He tries and fails without the armour. As for the "the real mandarin is out there" well thats just rubbish, they did Mandarin poorly and it's done, no excuses or ways out, he's done.

I don't see them bringing Mandarin back. The Marvel U is too big. There are all kinds of stories and threats that can be used for Iron Man stories. They had a Mandarin of sorts, so love it or hate it, I think that ship has sailed. Knowing the importance of the character in the comics, I hoped for something more, but I think it worked for the story Black wanted to tell (I agree IM3 was a good film--significantly better than Man of Steel anyway).

Disagree 100%... but that's the joy of geekdom. :hi5:
