That was one of the stupidest scenes in the movie... heck, in ANY Marvel Universe movie for that matter... equally stupid as the Mandarin fiasco in IM3 in my book...

Nah, Mandarin fiasco was worse than that actually. Anyhow, regarding the trailer,
wasn't Thor supposed to get his hand cut off? Was that faked for the Comic Con or what?

I really liked the the Orignal Hulk .... I absolutely love Connely , but I agree the mutant dogs and the end fight were pretty lame. IF it was done differently it could have been amazing. . . And I agree the Mandarin was a terrible plot twist.

This movie is one of the worst movies I've seen in theaters. I hated the comicbook paneling and little hulk. Its one of the few times I almost left the theater.

:exactly: I thought the film was total crapfest! :banghead

Wasn't Hulk the size of a very tall tree at one point. :lol

Like Mighty Joe Young! :monkey4

Could've been. . .if he wasn't fighting stupid mutant dogs.

Mutant poodles to be exact. :slap

:exactly::goodpost:

In that film, Hulk fights the military (obviously), mutant dogs, and his father--the Absorbing Man--as a giant energy cloud. Just not the direction I personally would have gone with it.

Again..... :slap :slap

Viking spawn.. resident HULK connoisseur. :lol

The poodle thing.. there was a Pitbull AND a Mastiff as well.

I love how folks conveniently forget that to give credence to their.. point. :lol

If I had to lump it in, which I prefer not to since it belongs in Phase 2, I'd put it equal with Thor. It's probably the most misunderstood movie of the franchise among Freaks.

Not you Nam, not you! :horror

There's not much to misunderstand, most people like it because RDJ can carry a film all by himself and he doesn't slack on IM3. If this were it's own original IP, some of the CBM complaints would go away but it's still kind of a sloppy movie with a strange sense of payoff. Still, RDJ is invincible right now so life goes on.

The Mandarin has been deemed a worthless (even hurtful) stereotype and must go the way of complete character transplant. Anyone who has a problem with it must be a racist insular comic book nerd. :dunno

So now as part of my racial sensitivity training I can no longer wear corrective vision lenses so I learn what it feels like to squint all the time and I've finally moved out of my great grandparents sub basement, but I had to change out my protective bubble.

Stupid IM3!

Gotta give credit for the first attempt to depict a completely CGI Hulk. There's only really one great sequence in it though and that's the desert tank scene. The rest of the movie was something of a mess. I agree that Sam Elliot rocked as Ross.

IM3 showed that Tony IS Iron Man. The kid is his moment of clarity, his anchor in reality (having kids helps with this point). And people need to get over the fact that Mandarin was mentioned in name only in the film. The real Mandarin is still out there. I got this from the film and wasn't at all surprised when Black talked about that in an interview afterward. Were there cheesy aspects? Absolutely. But the story as a whole was considerably better and tighter than the silly plot and Phantom Menace ending of Avengers.

****ing great to have you back, man.

:1-1:

Iron Man 3 is for sure the most misunderstood film in the series.

I agree. I enjoyed IM3, the twist was a punch in the gut but good because it was a surprise.
I loved the Avengers except for how they deactivated. For a Whedon film it was too easy and I expected better.

At least Whedon realized he made a mistake. He knows that blew. And hopefully he won't make the same mistake. I have faith in the man.

Agree there, portal closes but they've got to finish off the guys that are left would have been much better. Half an hour of Hulk smash wouldn't have been too much more to ask for....
