I can't afford the figure up front right now so i've been thinking of doing this too. Half an inch is a lot at the scale though, do you think it will look odd?
Believe me, I did think about this for way longer than I should have!

Believe me, I did think about this for way longer than I should have! But a 9-inch sword with a 12-inch figure will certainly look oversized in that scale. It may not come all the way up to his chin like the real sword, but it'll be pretty darn close. I don't have the letter-opener in hand yet, so this is all speculation on my part at this point. Maybe I'll pick one up this week and check it against some other figures.
I guess if you can't pay up front then thats your best option, but it would still suck for me. $170 plus shipping, plus the shipping and cost of the sword. What was a great deal at $160 shipped with an exclusive accessory is now an almost $200 figure.Skipping the exclusive and ordering through Sideshow. I know it's a little more expensive, but I wanted to Flex it. Also, I'm gonna pick up one of the metal Ice letter openers from the HBO store which is almost the right size for 1/6 scale. It's about a half inch too short (site says it's nine inches), but that's pretty darn close.
After all, Ned Stark deserves Valyrian steel not Valyrian plastic.
It'll say that until it ships. Mine has said that since day one.![]()
My payment still says processing on ThreeZero's website (said "awaiting payment" prior to that).
At this rate if they do Dany, her ex will be the dragons. John's will be Ghost and Arya's will be Needle lol
since when can you buy these from the HBO website...?
I don't know when they put Ned on their site, but I'm glad they did. Anything to get these figures out there so they can make as many as possible.
