Anyone is free to photograph a close-up of their own. We've already seen some. The figure will turn out fine - much better than the majority of Hot Toys releases, just like Tyrion.

No matter how much changes they make I think they don't have the rights to Sean Bean likeness. They certainly didn't mention him at all, they only mention a "Head sculpt with realistic likeness" unlike they did with Tyrion's heavily advertised Peter Dinklage HS.

I pre-ordered him and love the figure but I think this is something relevant to the expectations of this piece.

If threezero didn't have the likeness rights (I am sure they do) then the likeness would be far more off than it is. I still think it looks pretty good.

Really liking the sculpting on this and the tailoring looks to be very good as well. I am new to these type of figures and prefer statues but for the money and quality (based on Tyrion) I think this line is looking better and better!

I think they'd have to have the likeness rights to release what they have. It looks way too much like Bean, they'd be getting in big trouble :D

I hope so! I just couldn't forget the fact that Sean Bean wasn't mentioned while Peter Dinklage was. Can't wait for the figure, but I'd also like another GOT pre-order before Ned's arrival.

Here's a pic from ThreeZero's FB page. Looks like this head sculpt will look better from a more forward looking angle. This picture also makes Tyrion look wonky and we all know how that turned out. I'm not worried :D

dang, thats a nice figure. look at that tailoring on Ned, I think that looks well worth the $160 or w/e Ned cost (i cant recall). I for one cannot wait until he arrives, i am really liking their GoT line. I just got my Titanfall Atlas mech, all I gotta say is ThreeZero is knocking it out of the park with everything they do.

This is the latest image we have of Ned, yes? Better than the PO pics, but could use a little more finagling.

As harsh as that lighting is I think that's the best pic of him. I see some Sean Bean in that sculpt, not as much as I'd like but it's there. I suspect in hand it will look quite nice like Tyrion. Come on March!!

If Ned's head turns out better in-hand (surely there's a tasteless joke in there somewhere :lol), then I'll have no reservations about POing ThreeZero exclusives - like Rick or Heisenberg - in the future.

Looks like we can all agree we are still skeptical about threezero's headsculpt skills. This is understandable since they only did one so far with Tyrion released.

They seem to have some confidence at least taking on a lot of licenses that eventually will require them to do headsculpts. Perhaps we have to see at least a few more before we can gauge their skills.

The ones to look out would be Ned, Isaac from dead space 3,
Murphy from Robocop and Shepard from mass effect.

These look like the ones to come out soon before their next phase of human headsculpts.

I think they're very near the top of the industry in terms of in-house or hired talent and certainly so when it comes to production, so I don't agree. Not insofar as the same comment can be applied to anyone else in this industry, like Hot Toys, which has had, and continues to have, many more misses than hits in face sculpting.

My comparision is for majority of the comments I see here on a daily basis in all the threezero related threads. It seems after all this time, alot of people are still concern and nothing has changed from when Threezero started to reappear back on the scene. I have known about threezero along time ago, well before threeA. They have been in the business that long. I personally would rank them up there with the best. No company is perfect, but I have no problems most of the time with their quality and output.

I have already fully paid for most of threezero products on day one, so my concerns with headsculpt isn't the question here. Perhaps many in here dont know about them or see a wide range of their products to understand the quality and their standard of output. Im just trying to let people know that if they still have concerns, they can look at their other upcoming figures that contain headsculpts to make up their judgements. Im not the voice for everyone, so I respect other opinions.

As of now over the last two years, I paid more interest in threezero as well as other new independents, example Star Ace than I ever did with hot toys. Everyday, I see more and more complaints with regards to threezero. Delays, or wheres this and that. Its annoying and I do ignore them. If people dont know how the industry works by now, then why bother collecting. Its becoming like the whiny people in other 1/6th groups in facebook.

People are used to the tremendous amount of output by Hot Toys. That's because HT has so many licenses products are always coming out. It was 6months from PO to ship for Tyrion. The same will be for Ned. Isn't that the average period? Doesn't HT have things slated for September?! :lol

Admittedly, they are dragging their feet on TWD. :lol But I couldn't care less. They can drop it all together for all I care.

As for Hot Toys, they don't have my attention anymore.

You got that point right. I dont see theres a delay at all with threezero. Similar to threeA, once preorder goes up, they normally get their product out within half a year, maybe a month or two at most behind schedule. In the past I had to wait for like about 15months before getting my hot toys spiderman, and I was one of the early ones to preorder at their shop.

With way things work with threeA/threezero, is they normally reveal a teaser, then take however long they want fine tuning the product. Then once they are ready, post a handful of screenshots and then place the preorder up within a week or two. Threezero preorders will last upto 6 weeks before cut off date and ThreeA is usually around 2 weeks before cut off date.

Same goes with their breaking bad teaser, its going to be a long wait before preorders, so might as well buy something else to play with instead.
