The post office doesn't open until 10 AM and closes at 2. I'm at work, far, far away from my home post office on weekdays.

Have you tried sending it to a work address or a friend/family that are able to pick up for you? I live on my own and sometimes I have to consider these when I'm away from home.
Sometimes I skip online ordering and order from a local retailer so I know it will be ready when they call.

When they leave the peach card, can't you specify a re-delivery time, or at least sign the card to specify that it's okay to leave the package at your door?

Just before waking up this morning I dreamt that an open package was sitting on my desk and as I peeked inside, I saw it contained a Tyrion figure packed in a small and tight plastic clamshell, and next to him a Joffrey figure I didn't order. Then I immediately opened my eyes and woke up. Weird.

I want to see pictures of this in people's hands already so I can get the okay on ordering one myself if everything checks out!

The FedEx guy came back the same day! With FedEx it isn't so bad - at least I can have it redirected. With the post office if they try on Saturday I can't get to the PO until the following Saturday and it's only open for very short hours on Saturday.

Agreed. At least with UPS and Fed Ex there is the rerouting option. It wouldn't be so bad if the post office just had better hours. I mean, who is going to the post office from 9 to 5? Not anybody with a normal job! I mean at least stay open until 7 or something more reasonable for the average worker to be able to stop in after work. And they wonder why they're losing money left and right? :lol

All the "post offices" around here are built into stores like Walgreens and have long hours. The proper stand-alone post offices (main types) have much shorter hours like what you guys are talking about - those are becoming increasingly rare. The one here in town, which used to be the hub/distribution center for us, has ceased all retail operations and become distribution-only at a new location.

You guys should be thankful you get Saturday delivery (and Sunday for many locations this month), have very low postage rates and have incredible fast service and with free tracking. The USPS is such a great deal that I buy postage online and then send packages by courier to the US to get dropped at a post office. It's cheaper and faster than using Canada Post.

Oh, I'm not complaining about the prices and service - those have been pretty good in my experiences, its just the limited hours I hate. And unfortunately we don't get to pick which post office to pick the packages up at. Its whatever is zoned for our shipping address, which happens to be one of those stand alone ones, and not a major one at that (those have slightly better hours, on Saturdays at least).

Having worked for the postal service for 5 years, I understand its not really their fault they are in the situation they are in. To change polices, they literally require an act of congress. Yeah, try running a successful business when you have to work through congress! :lol Up until just recently, they were the only part of the government that not only was self sufficient (ie wasn't operated by tax dollars) but actually made a profit! But congress rarely moves on anything anymore until its an absolute emergency, so the postal service has been dying a slow death because of it. A real shame IMO.

But back on subject, is there an ETA ship date on Tyrion or is it just all speculation at this point because of the packaging photos surfacing?

Well I guess no one is following them on Facebook. Tyrion won't ship until January at the earliest.
From a December 5th post:

threezero Adam: We we aim for January 2015, please check here for our shipping plans

Even though on December 2nd their official schedule placed Tyrion at "mid-December"

I've given up checking their Facebook all the time. They have always aimed for December in my mind. If they delay it by a month. Then so be it. It's not the first time they have delayed things. 3A included. They will eventually deliver in the end. Their communications have been weak to say as usual. I'm sure they are busy with this weekends toy souls to do any other work.

Actually you read the post out of context. It was an answer to a question "Adam We" posted (which is why he is referred to at the beginning of the answer.)

Adam We's question was:

What is with Isac.
When you are begging to shipping?

This is a reference to the Deep Space 3 Issac Clarke which according to Threezero's December 2nd timetable is scheduled in January.

That part was missing from the quote, so I understood the reply to mean the entire list mentioned on the 2nd would start shipping in January - of which Tyrion is the first item.

The end result is the same. We're one day beyond mid December, so IMO, it's this week or forget it for this month. The Christmas and New Year weeks are usually too busy to do anything like this.
