Actually Dany is supposed to be part of this first batch. So she should be happening sooner. I haven't heard anything about the order after Jon and Jamie, but given her character's popularity, I would guess she'd show up before Drogo or the White Wallker. But that's only my personal guess.

I haven't heard anything about how brisk the ordering has been for Tyrion or Ned, but depending on sales, after this first group, HBO may let them renew the license for more. Fingers crossed! I want to see this line run for a good long time! (I wonder if Sideshow picking up this line to distribute is a sign that they're selling well. Doesn't seem like they'd bother unless it was a good business move.)

A couple months back, I also heard some rumblings that there might be a chance they'd do some stand-alone accessories ... like, for example, an Iron Throne or some full-sized direwolves, etc. I was told ideas were being batted around. But given that we're now seeing Ghost in that picture, maybe that bodes well!

In the meantime, I shall keep my ear to the ground and let you know if I hear anything more!

I originally had Dany part of the list but I thought you said the current license was only for 6 figures, and I knew Drogo and WW was mentioned so I left her off. I guess I'm misremembering.

From what I understand the license is good for the list of specific characters I mentioned. (It's not based on a number, but it happens to be seven characters.) The idea was that if sales were good, they'd expand and do more.

I would expect most licenses work this way. Or at least have some kind of "let's see if this is going to work" limitation. Whether that's a number of years or number of characters or some other limitation. Especially when you're talking about a company in ThreeZero that hasn't done much in the "realistic" 1/6 arena, and a Licensor in HBO who also doesn't have much of a track record in this particular kind of merchandising. I'm sure the idea was to keep it small in the beginning and see if it worked.

So let's hope it works!

This might be my first venture into figures/items of this quality and price range, I hope they turn out great! They HAVE to do a Daenerys...I would be very upset if they don't or the line gets finished/stopped before they are able to. Still thinking about if I should or shouldn't get Ned and Tyrion, leaning towards doing it. Only thing that is holding me up is the mystery of the final product and the future of the line. How well do you think the chances are of a Dany being made?

Even if it is only 7 figures that is still better than the majority of Hot Toys licenses.

But I believe that there will be more.

EXACTLY!! It needs to happen, and hopefully they capture her face well. The FUNKO legacy figures didn't do a very good job at all on Emilia Clarke's face.

I'm going to go for it, I like Game of Thrones enough that these will be valued. I'm going to get a nice display at Ikea and start doing this whole collecting thing right All I have now are some NECA figures and Funko Pop! as well as other random characters and figures. Wish I would have known about Tyrion earlier to get his exclusive too like Ned with Ice.

Yup, he has the hand of the king pin so they aren't releasing these as characters from a set season.

I think the very fact that they are telling who is after Jon Snow is a good sign that they're in for the long run or at least all the figure Bucky mentioned.When Tyrion first went up they wouldn't answer any of those questions. I guess Ned and Tyrion did well on PO.
