Honestly, the head sculpt is that that important to me as I played the game with the half helmet on. It's all about the armor and I wonder if it looks good in real life or not. Looking forward to people getting this one and reviewing.

could they possibly release an unpainted character with armor like garrus i loved his blue armor but threezero could end up going with the silverer version!! you could change shepards armor color even
Hi everyone.
Me again to reveal what I just got delivered. As always crappy photos unboxing time. Hate it? Well deal with it as it's as good as you get to the real thing. Haha
Anyhows enjoy and here's a few of my 2cents. A quickie review.
Overall I'll give this figure a score of 6.
Good points. Decent under suit. A mixture of rubber for the crotch area and cloth throughout the body. Thus not hindering movement.
Though I'm not too keen on cloth much. Joints are tight and arms and legs do their job. Will need to play more with the weapons and such.
Bad points though paint job so so. A glorified play arts Kai. The red white stripes along his arm is very rough. Very amateur.
I don't like the shoulder pads. Quite flimsy. They are held onto by a strap underneath thats stuck to the undersuit.
Wow no upper body movement at all. Hard chest armour stuck to a soft rubber mid section.
Helmet sculpt. Not bad. Does its job. Beware of dirty neck from paint rub when pulling the headsculpt out.
Shepard headsculpt. Does not look like default Shepard. Disappointed. Though he does not look like the sdcc Mexican.
Really not worth the asking price.

Agree he is way better than the SDCC Mexican, but still not there for the price we paid for. Plus my one has a wonky beard:/

Shame this figure does not have light up feature to make the figure pop.
Lets just say this Shepard isnt my favorite thing on the Citadel.

I saw giant pictures and just skipped right past the text, my bad.
I'm not expecting Hot Toys quality, but I'm hoping I'll be happy with it.
Agree I never was going to compare it with Hot Toys quality, but we got charged at their prices for this in return.
Its just not on and they should have way better QA and QC. They should really fire that team!

The paint job looks cheap, and the Shepard sculpt has no real likeness. And how many months was this delayed... From March to September right? Glorified Play Arts Kai is right. Not close to HT quality despite charging HT price.

I waited for years for someone to make 1/6 ME figures and when this was announced I was beyond overjoyed, but at the price they are charging for this kind of sloppy careless work I'm afraid this line is gonna be dead before its even really off the ground. Will I never see a 1/6 Garrus?!?!?!
Happy I cancelled this last year. They take too long for delivery and charge you 100% up front at threezero store, when it arrives it's not to the standard your used to that's terrible to hear.
I can live with paying up front and a bit of a delay.
Even as far as paying higher price for this than normally should.
However when the final outcome does not justify the price, it pisses me off how can a product that does not even resemble the main character can go out.
Threezero, you had plenty of time to tweak this and even go through many QA/QC phases, yet you pride yourself this and that and it don't mean **** at the end.
If you didn't care about it then don't begin at all. Plain and simple. Time to pull your head out of your ar5e!!!

People are gettting all bent over the unhelmeted portrait. It looks really off and I am not at all happy about it. However, the rest of the figure looks spot on. Lighten up folks.

Yeah, hence imo I gave this figure a score of 6. I got the ex ver hoping they would have improved the headsculpt, but nope. Not at all.
If you leave the headsculpt to one side, and use the full helmet one, the overall figure isnt too bad. Its your usual threezero standard affair with semi detailed suits and paint apps. However when you add the cost for this figure, you would expected some surprises at least. Ie. led lights or SOME chest/crunch articulation, rear magnets to hold the rifle on his back etc
Im not sure if you have the figure on order, but for some ppl its easy for them to lighten up when they just saved themselves money by checking others review first. I got screwed with 3A's MC, and to follow up with this is quite disappointing. I mean, this isnt as bad, but it should have been better for the price ive paid for.

The paint looks shoddy considering they charged $220. No excuse for that or the bad Shepard sculpt. If you're going to charge HT prices you better be able to match the best of HT. I'd pay maybe $120 for this.
I was so excited when they announced the line, as Garrus is one of my most wanted figures... But seeing how Shepard turned out my hype is dropping fast. Ned and Tyrion look decent so how they could mess this up when there is just as much reference material I don't know.
