wow that is almost as horrible a transformation as the sideshow's nathan drake headsculpt. i'd rather go back to the prototype than this "improvement"

arghh dude, dont remind me of that nathan drake. I still have that figure and its the worst figure (headsculpt wise) i have in my collection. I really dont want to add shepard to the list. Even though Halo has joined the ranks of ****e figures

Threezero hasn't really excelled at human headsculpts so this isn't really that surprising. Out of all they've done, I think only Tyrion is the only one that turned out ok (and that one only looks good from certain angles, but from those angles it is nearly perfect). I planned on making a custom HS to match my Sheps design or just keeping the helmet head on.

Luckily Shep looks bad-ass with his helmet on. I'm thinking they probably noticed the backlash of the human sculpt which could explain why they aren't showing it lol

I believe that the Ex had a very limited order window which has long since passed, unfortunately.

Yeah, I know. Doesn't exactly make much sense.

If it was listed as sold out at least people could see as much instantly. The way they do things, by often completely erasing things from the storefront. just adds confusion for any latecomers (and even that isn't even always consistent). Especially when the product in question hasn't even seen release yet, so there might not be a natural assumption from people that it is too late to order and that they have already missed out.

exactly - i was thinking I was on the wrong page - that it was an exclusive of theirs, but via someone else...gonna check out sideshow...just not sure. Thanks for the clarification - very helpful

No problem, always happy to help where I can.

Unfortunately as far as threezero Shepard is concerned, those of us who missed the boat don't have much option other than to just go with the regular release, and try to find the best price on that, or else wait and try rolling the dice on ebay scalper level pricing once these start to hit, and hope to grab one for a price that isn't too many notches up the old exclusive insanity pricing scale.

yeah, making the head exclusive is kinda weak........Hope it turns out well, of course, but may wait and see what happens with the market version. Legion looks amazing

Agreed. And according to threezero's facebook page, the pre-order window on the exclusive version of the Legion figure will be closing "sooner rather than later", so anyone considering the exclusive on that one might not want to wait too much longer to jump on it. :)

Mind you, the only difference in this case is the widow sniper rifle, so all depends on how much you feel a need for that particular gun, I suppose.

The only reason I'd want the sniper is to give it to Garrus... But they haven't even announced him yet.

I like Legion but don't really want to commit to any figures until they say they're making Garrus. I might try to round up the money, haven't decided yet.

Kind of in the same spot, at the moment. Don't know whether to jump on board this line because I have no idea how deep their plans for it are, and whether any of my favourite characters will make the cut.

ok, thanks for the heads up. Can live without the weapon myself

I had the same strategy myself back when it was PlayArtsKai with the license. Its easy for us to wait until the next figure is announced to decide whether to jump on a line but the sad truth is that for the game companies (even if they want to look in the long term) any subsequent figures are always dependant on the sales of their last one. Thats why I jumped right away on the Shep and Legion and try to get more people to do the same. The only way the line is going to go deep is if every one of their figures (starting now) makes enough moola. And if ever the line dies before the crew is completed, we could always sell the figures we get anyway. :)

PlayArtsKai managed to get to 5 figures (awful scaling issues notwithstanding)... I hope ThreeZero gets at least to 3. Legion was announced almost together with the Shep reveal. Its been a while since then and its been fairly quiet on the ME front. I think pre sale did not meet their demand and I fear that will be it. Hopefully they cast the dice again tho and this time choose a more marketable character, anyone from Wrex, Garrus, Tali or Liara. Threezero needs to showcase their sculpting skills in the alien department to get the money rolling. Or if they stick to their robot fetish, well maybe we can get EDI sometime soon as well. :D
