Great exclusive! Now that's what an exclusive should be, not an art print. Throne, looks great, figure looks great. Overall very nice. Originally, I thought the likeness was way off, but the more I look at it the more I see SMG. If this was 1/4 scale it would be great.

Not as bad as I expected, not as good as I dreamed, but what the hell, if I have the money, it's going to be mine.
I'm likely to buy all sideshows Buffy releases one day, might as well buy it now when it's "cheap".
I think this line is going to go for sexy/sultry (I mean, if it wasn't for the likeness, which is good, otherwise I would just see a hocker sitting on a throne) and I would rather have it be more about the character's personality than body.
Anyone else who thinks she looks bored? Kinda weird considering that it looks like she posed herself, waiting for a lover. But the eyes do look alive.

The maquette invokes two possible scenarios in my mind...
1. Ms. Summers sits before one or more baddies taking her time, perhaps doing a little taunting until one of the vampires (or demons) makes a move, which would be the trigger for her to fight.
2. She's just vanquished an enemy or two (three, four, etc.) and sits looking/thinking about recent events.
I simply adore this piece.

Those are exactly my thoughts as to the "story" behind this piece. A very creative way to re-introduce Buffy and I love it. I can only hope that this is the first piece in what will be a very dynamic line.

I really didn't think too much of this one from the preview, but looking at the pics, I like it. I get the sense that she's just dusted a few vamps and is now kicking it back in the throne that the pretentious leader of the vamp pack previously inhabited.

I thought the second when I saw this piece. She just killed a big bad and now she is just chilling looking like she does this all the time so it wasn't a big deal for her.

Not sure what you people are smoking. I think you need to rewatch Buffy. While the likeness isn't spot on it is definitely there and you can instantly say hey, that is Buffy.

I preordered mine last night too and have been 50/50 the whole time. I think I've actually lost sleep over it.
I LOVE the pose, the throne, Mr. Pointy, etc. But if I based my purchase solely on her face, I'd probably have to pass. I can see SMG in there, but it's not a great likeness. Once you add the throne, pose, etc, it's obviously Buffy - no way around it.
I'm hoping *fingers crossed* that maybe a little different paint apps might bring SMG out more in the final product. Like I said though, the overall is great. Maybe when I have it in hand (...too... far... away...) the likeness will pop more.

Only time will tell. KOTCS Indy PF had better paint apps then the prototype and the likeness turned out much better. Plus in most cases in person looks better to me than most photos.
