the sculpt looked promising, but the paint is kinda bleh! i hope they improve the paint on his face. he looks like he has faded mascara

Just Lion O and Panthro in this scale. But if Panthro gets revealed before Lion O ships and he looks as good as I hope he does, I could possibly end up canceling Lion O.

I'm with you on the Panthro...but what really troubles me is how the Cheetara is going to look. That Cammy from SF is damn sexy...can't see them screwing up Cheetara.

I'm just not impressed with the HH stuff so far. You have a piece or two don't you? What do you think?

Still no Panthro from them though right? What was the last statue, Tigra?

I think it will have a pretty small edition size.

1) Thundercats is not a wildly popular license.

2) $400 price tag after shipping.

3) Highly stylized look.

Three things that will lead to a small edition size.

Just cancelled my Ex and re ordered it with my rewards points, in all the panic i forgot to do that and add the flex pay. $400 plus dollars around Xmas wont help with the gifts

I think this will be the only high-end Thundercats item I own... but I do plan on assembling a small collection of Vintage figures.

Think of getting the main cats, Mumm-Ra and the main Mutants.

I've been rewatching the original series and I'm into the parts with the new TCats. Bengali and Pumyra were not as thrilling as the original 6....but Lynx-O was pretty cool.

I can see HH making some of the others before Panthro, don't freakin' agree with it, but I can see it. All except of course Tygra, and I like Tygra. No way in he** Tygra is more popular than Panthro. Guess maybe they are saving the best for last?!?!

whats the deal with this not selling out yet???? i was for sure they would be sold out super soon last night so much i made sure i was online and ready for it at drop. i wonder if this will hold its value. the only reason i ask is i dont want to have to sell him and lose money in the future, with something so expensive as him.

Its hard to say... sometimes the first piece of a series is a slow seller. But then after more people are aware of its existence and the line continues the later releases sell out faster and the fist becomes very desirable.

Or, the line could be a complete flop and after 2 years you can't sell it for more than 50% of the value.

Collectibles are a fickle thing

I'm sure this one will be available for a while... unless the exclusive is like 30 units, but if I remember correctly it was supposed to be about 200 right?

Besides, even it this statue was even remotely close to a Lion-O cartoon look, I wouldn't pay $400.00 for 1 single collectible... not with this economy anyways...

I'm not surprised... it's a cool looking statue, but the Hardcore TC fandom willing to pay these crazy prices is sort of limited IMO...
