I've heard of tipping mail persons and delivery people, but I just don't see why it's necessary. It's not like these people are wait staff getting minimum wage and depending on tips, who I tip and tip 20+% for good service. I thought I heard USPS delivery men and women get paid pretty well as it is, plus the benefits of working for the government.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't plan on tipping any of them for basically doing their job. Some days I get a crap load of work done, no one is tipping me any extra for getting my job done at the end of the day or the end of the year. My company phased out Christmas' bonuses right about the time I got hired, some 13 years ago.. Bah humbug.

The only tip I get for doing my job is "Always be prepared to lose your job next year."
