Just got back from seeing it. I laughed more at this movie then a lot of comic book movies of the past.

Also....Was that Carrot Top at the end?

Holy crap impressive thursday preview box office especially when taking into account the negative press-buzz!

$10 million Thursday preview isn't too shabby for a comedy. :lol

Hold on, 10 million is the same amount Bryan Singer is getting to direct Red Sonja! :panic:

This was surprisingly fun and refreshing. Lots of bad but definitely outweighed by the good. Awesome venom, Tom hardy was great , a few cool action scenes. Ended up being an entertaining monster /buddy film. Horrible first 15-20 mins though and the very last action beat involves a rocket ship going into space and is pretty stupid. Venom had the whole audience loving him when he was on screen, that’s for sure.

All right jye I paid to see The Predator so I think you should catch Venom and come back with a full report of the lolz.

:D

:lol :lol

We Are Not Going

He should’ve played Mad Max as a ******** Brooklynite

For Oct it’s impressive.

For the MCU it’s what IW earned in the first 5 seconds lol

You guys need to remember the majority of Thursday night preview tickets, as well as a good % of the opening weekend Box Office gross, are probably most likely advanced ticket sales. Most purchased before the trashing this thing is getting. And many fans don't care, good or bad, and already planned on supporting/seeing this crap fest of a movie. Even if just for laughs or to see how bad it really turned out.

Most articles also say we need to wait to see what happens after opening weekend, and how bad the 2nd week drop is.

Amazing how this movie, which was originally marketed as a dark anti hero movie, is loaded with comedy and laughs with very little true onscreen violence shown. This was never to be "R". Sony trying to generate excitement. Poor Snikt must be either roid raging in a gym somewhere or he has committed himself to a psych ward. :wink1:

Sony is now the leader for worst comic book movie ideas/translations. Fox's reign is over as Disney put an end to their crap Xverse. Again, another Spidey verse is over before it began. Sony should just enjoy their partnership with Disney/Marvel or just sell them back the rights.

One day I'll watch this, just like I still need to get around to seeing ASM2.... :lol

When he found out it wasn't hard R. :lol

Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with that dumpster fire. :lol

I know...

I never saw ASM in theaters, bought it on BluRay for $6 and hated it. I watched it with my son after I just watched the original Raimi trilogy with him (his 1st time). He hated it as much as I did. So I refused to see and support ASM2. After the deal with Sony letting Marvel use Spidey in the MCU, and hoping Sony saw the light and was smart enough to give up, I bought ASM2 on BluRay for $5. Still can't bring myself to watch it. And then Sony goes and does the unthinkable, a Spideyverse without Spidey...:slap

The only good that came of that abomination was the Spidey costume. Just like Venom looking far better in this turd than he did in Spider-Man 3. I do have the HT ASM2 figure, but got it for way under retail from Popcultcha way back when. Just as I'm sure many a fan of Venom would buy a HT figure of this version of Venom regardless of the movie being good or bad. But I guess even HT wasn't willing to take a chance on this...

You’ve said this movie sucks without having seen it yourself.

I thought it was going to be AWFUL and it was surprisingly good.

Saw this last night... it was enjoyable. Not as bad as some critics are saying... wouldn't go out of my way to say it was anything more than fun though :lol
