Re: Venom Movie: Sony working on the Spin-Off

No.

TDKR is disliked by people on forums. It is by no means considered a bad movie in cinema. It made AFI's Top 10 that year and tracked well critically.

Nah. Movie sucks bro.

But srsly, you react to a Bane quote video and not Child44 poster?
I guess even you understand how bad it is... :lol

The movie wasn't great, but Tom was great in it.
He was as great as Ahnuld's Freeze in B&R.
Great OTT character to make fun of.

Re: Venom Movie: Sony working on the Spin-Off

Try watching The White Ribbon. Or Naked Lunch. Or Midnight Express.

Then get back to me on what a bad movie is.

I'll take you up on that. I like watching horrible movies to laugh.

It's really like six people, but it feels like more people because they post so much :lol

In fact, some have come around and now like it, because the hating on Nolan fad/bandwagon isn't cool anymore.

Re: Venom Movie: Sony working on the Spin-Off

I figured. And that's why your opinion on film is very questionable.

Your hate boner for Arad doesn't help either.

And you either have been living under a rock or completely oblivious to his ruining of the franchise. But it's cool. Go ahead and try and defend Spider-Man 3 through asm2 and tell me that those are great movies. Yea no. Under his rule those movies were decent at best

I just didn't like the movie. Thought it was a horrible representation of Batman and the rogues that were portrayed in the movie. Also what they did to robin pissed me off. I guess some of it is also it not being able to live up to its previous movie for me.

I haven't seen him in anything he was bad in, but some of his roles were pretty meh to me where he was said to be great. I have high hopes for Venom now. I think he'd be great in the role. Maybe not tall enough, but they fixed that with Bane and Keaton as Batman.

I have always liked it. The ratings everywhere else besides the forums speak for themselves. Those 3 Nolan films still have some of the best comic book villains of any film to date, if not THE best.

So now critical consensus has value? Funny how that works.

Re: Venom Movie: Sony working on the Spin-Off

I equal a quarter of a million people and dislike TDKR. So it's much more than just 6.

Don't mind Hardy, he's good, but I don't think he's anything special really. He's filler. C'mon, he's not what made Mad Max Fury Road great. You could have put Mel Gibson in there and made it more special. Bane? Anyone could have portrayed him. Hell, could have had a guy in the mask and a guy over dubbing the voice. I felt the same way with him in the Revenant, and I really liked his character.

For Venom/Eddie Brock? I'm sure he'll be fine. He's not going to magically make the movie or anything though. Remember, he was originally cast as Boomerang in Suicide Squad.

Re: Venom Movie: Sony working on the Spin-Off

The pro-MCU Spidey people are in for a rough couple of years. SONY is taking back Spidey very soon and unleashing a shared universe not interested in pandering to the kids.

Spidey's sudden departure will just be the start. The fall of the MCU begins here.

But Spider-Man is almost every kid's favorite superhero ffs. :lol

Re: Venom Movie: Sony working on the Spin-Off

I binged the TDK trilogy last year and like TDK before it TDKR has an uninteresting first hour and then an entertaining second half. Sure it has moments of pure ridiculousness ("I saw your eyes and instantly knew who you were," the utterly idiotic CIA agents at the beginning, "No, I came here to stop you," etc.) but overall it's still a very well done flick. I can see why people who really wanted him to be kicking ass against crime while on the run from the law after TDK would be really put off by it though.

Re: Venom Movie: Sony working on the Spin-Off

I'm a fan of Tom Hardy casting. Would love to see him face off with Tom Holland.

When I come across forum-isms like "TDKR sucks" and "Ant-Man was great" I quickly remind myself that this is a tiny and ridiculous fraction of movie-watchers that watch less than twenty films a year and those 20 are usually summer popcorn movies.

People who's heads would basically explode during a movie like There Will Be Blood from the epic boredom. People who need comic relief every five minutes and monologues that stay under a minute so their ADD won't kick in and force them to play Candy Crush on their phones.
