It's basically just like the original (same "who da hell am I", the malfunctioning disguise) except now it's "new" and shiny. Look at all that flashy "transformers" stuff.

High speed CGI chase with futuristic cars and lightning fast, "Oh ____, WTF is going on", speeds? Check

Fast moving, disorienting, high octane action that takes up the entire canvass of the screen? Check.

OH, and it's not on Mars. Guess we don't get to Farrell's eyeballs and tongue pop out of his head.

Yup, I'm digging the trailer!
Looking forward to this big time. I wonder if they do go to Mars, but they're just not showing it in the trailer. Either way, I'm going to watch this.

____ everything about this movie. ____ it. Goddamn it. We get a visually cool looking movie, with a visually cool looking futuristic city, and they waste it on a remake of a movie.

Goddamn, it looks like every scene from the original movie is in there, aside from being on Mars. That's it.

"If i'm not me...then who the hell am I."

UAGH.

It's the same movie. Just not on mars. Whoopty.

It's just offensive to me. Far more offensive then scrawny HumanRoboCop. At least they're doing something new with it.

No question it will be visually impressive. But I am tending to agree with Celtic at the moment. It looks almost shot for shot the same as the original. And Arnold wearing a physical mask of the fat lady that comes off practically is way cooler than some virtual reality CG stuff.

Looks bad. Reallllllllllllly bad.
Nothing new and interesting - all this crap you could find in a tons of other movies b4.

Tho this could make a great TPS/FPS game... But NOOOOO, why would they bother?!

See here's the thing, if this movie were called "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" like the Philip K. ____ story or something similar (or even a 100% original title) than it would be different.

But no, it's called "Total Recall" because they're trying to cash in on the 1990 movie with Arnold and hoping fans of that will come and see this.

Garbage.

They are not trying to cash in on the 1990 movie, they are trying to cash in on the young people who were not alive to the original.

Exactly. Same with Robocop. Hollywood comes up with a new original idea, doesn't have faith in it, finds something similar that already exists, attaches it and whores it out.

Well, does any of that really matter? If it's good it's good. If it's bad, well then it's bad. By that definition TAS is crap as well as BB, TDK, & TDKR. I'm going to see before I make a judgement.

I don't know if anyone has seen 1990 film lately, but it's very dated. A lot of films hold up over the years, but that one just doesn't. It's classic, but it looks terrible.
