cool...

Also, did any one notice any crossover characters in the background like they usually do. The only thing that I saw was the Pizza Planet Truck that is in every movie (I think) and the infamous ball from Luxo Jr. was in the sandbox at the end.

I am sure there were a few more but that is all I saw.

Totally didn't pick up on Sid being the trash boy. I love how they do that.

If anyone has ridden Toy Story Mania one of the "prizes" is a beaver, and that beaver was a sticker on the toy box. That's the only thing I picked up on.

Does anyone know what movie Pixar is doing next?

Here ya go! I found the little tributes very interesting. I will have to go back and watch it again to spot all of these.

Obviously click on the link AFTER you watched the movie. Spoilers abound!!

Loved it !!!! But, the short movie before it was very unoriginal and predictable IMO.

I loved the movie and the ending wasn't as sad as i thought it would be it was just his time to move on. I thought the scene at the dump was very emotional and ken reminded me of fred from scooby doo lol.

I was blown away. Someone said it before - Pixar just know how to make great movies. I know it won't get the critical praise that Up received, but as toy collectors this really touched my heart.
I like how it ended and can't wait for Toy Story 4 in 2021!

Cars 2 I think.

Maybe if we all stop buying the Cars merchandise that is still selling at Target, they will make a sequel for a film that actually deserves it instead of doing an obvious cash grab. Cars is by far my least favorite Pixar film, and the critics agree--it's the one with the lowest score at Rotten Tomatoes. There's nothing worse than watching a Pixar film and experiencing absolutely no sense of surprise as you watch a completely cliched and predictable microwaved leftover plot unfold before your eyes. But Cars 2 will sell tons of toys, so here it comes.

Another Toy Story Film in June 2011?
Posted on Friday, June 18th, 2010 by Peter Sciretta

Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich revealed on MSN (and later confirmed on Twitter) that Toy Story 3 is not the last time we’ll see Buzz and Woody — and he’s not talking about the costumed characters at the Disney theme parks. Don’t worry Pixar fans, Disney is not pushing out another sequel — Toy Story 3 ends with a perfect conclusion to the trilogy, and I don’t expect to see another feature film any time soon (I’d say “ever,” but this is Disney…). But that doesn’t mean that Disney won’t release more adventures of Andy’s toys on the big screen in short film form…

Here is what Unrich told James Rocchi:

“Well, I really tried my best to end the story of Andy and his toys and bring that story to a close in a really nice way at the end of this film. That being said, we know that people love the characters, love Woody and Buzz, and would hate to say good-bye to them completely. I don’t know that there would ever be a ‘[Toy Story] 4.’ We don’t have any plans for one — but we are trying to find ways to keep the characters alive. We have announced we’re going to do a short film in front of ‘Cars 2′ that uses the ‘Toy Story’ characters. We’re going to keep them alive; they’re not going away forever.”

So there you have it, we will see the toys again on the big screen on June 24th 2011, in a short film which will play infront of Cars 2. When it was announced that Disney would open a second Pixar Animation Studio in Canada, it was revealed that the studio would produce computer animated short films, which usually run anywhere from three to six minutes in length, take 6 to 8 months to produce. Nothing has been announced, but I assume that the short is being created at this new Pixar campus.

I wonder what this means about future Pixar original animated short films. Will the Toy Story short be the only short film attached to the Cars sequel?

Personally I'm waiting for Brad Bird to get off of his ass and get another Incredibles film done.

Brad Bird stated in 2007 that he's open to the idea of an Incredibles 2 if he comes up with an idea superior to the original film. "I have pieces that I think are good, but I don't have them all together."

Since the strife going on in his own family was the basis of inspiration who knows when he'll actually do anything especially since his life seems to be going well we may never get one. Disney's planned The Incredibles 2: Rise of the Underminer was officially scrapped after the Pixar aquisition.

I saw this again with my family and cried just as hard. My little sister made fun of me.

I missed characters like Bo Peep, Wheezy, and Lenny. I wished they'd have fit them in somehow. I don't even think Lenny was in the opening montage of Andy with his toys over the years! :monkey2

:exactly:

I'm with you there. Toy Story 3 broke the opening weekend record originally owned by the Incredibles. It is my favorite Pixar film and IMO their best. Brad Bird created a super hero universe that warrants further exploration so let's get The Incredibles 2 in theaters.

All the Barbie/Ken scenes were personal favs of mine... since I grew up playing with Barbie.

I LOVED when Barbie tricked Ken to let her out of her "cell" and then asked him to model some clothes for her to distract him. Also loved her ripping his clothes to break him... :lol

Thinking of making this movie my daughters first movie at the theater. She is 2.5, but has a great attention span. Can anyone with kids make a suggestion one way or another on if this movie is innapropriate (mainly in terms of being scary) for a 2 and a half year old?
