Thanks for the info. What happened, did you want to cancel an order and he got all uppity about it?

You're welcome, yes I preordered an item I thought was a complete figure but it was actually just a clothes and accessories set. I'm relatively new to the hobby so it wasn't something I was expecting. When he realized I wanted to cancel he accused me of being a scammer and threaten to release the information his site gathered from my order and post it "all over the internet" and facebook. He even used statements later on like "I have your info I'll find you, it's easy to find people online", whatever that meant.

I do a lot of online shopping and I've never seen anyone say the kinds of things this kit Chen person said to me.

Good to know, glad i didnt hastily order from him. I ended up going with timewalker, very pleased with them so far as their cs is very helpful and understanding.

I doubt I'll ever purchase from OSK if that's how he acts. Pretty juvenile. I'd keep those emails in case anything suspicious pops up later on, at least you have proof of threats.

I just sent my info to Toys Era, hopefully I'll get that invoice soon.

That's exactly what PayPal said too when I explained the situation. They also have me some websites to report him if needed. Thanks for your advice and I hope everything goes well for you with toys era, they sent me an invoice a few hours after I emailed them.

That's kinda scary. Talk about bad business. Who was this again? Does he sell other goods? (Like say hot toys or sideshow or any other major brands? If so send me a PM with the info you have on him. I can send it along to my contacts and let them know this is how he acts and they can reach out and if it's a pattern they will refuse to sell to him. It makes them look bad as well.)

Kit Chen is a scumbag recaster as well.

That's not good. But this figure (the toys era magneto)is essentially the same thing. If you don't support recasting you shouldn't support this. Just my two cents.

Funny how some guy hates unlicensed figures but still sticks his nose to the thread and uses any chances to bash about it repeatedly :/ Like it bothers you that much? And Kit is not a really bad dude. He's just a dealer that sells custom stuff from various suppliers in HK just like many others. Done business and talked with him many times before and everything went smoothly. It was the guy's fault for not following OSK terms on pre-order items carefully before buying. If he hadn't messed things up by filing a dispute to paypal in the first place, Kit would have had a way to work with him and refund his deposit (which in my book is non-refundable on most online store) properly. To me that's just so unprofessional and immature.

I think people need to chill and put away their pitchforks. Considering that ANY unlicenced item no matter how small or seemingly insignificant is technically breaking the 'rules' I find it highly unlike that there's many if anybody here that is't guilty no matter how small the guilt.

I did find out from them though that if u want to cancel an order u have to email them 1st. They ask for a reason as a lot of people cancel and they dont want excess canceled orders, but they will cancel it fine.
That's good to hear that exactly how it should be

Trust me it was and yes he sells all kinds of 6th scale goods, pm incoming.

So if you don't want the figures you can't post in the thread? That's what your saying? Well ****, 3/4 of the posts in every thread are wrong then.

I "stuck" my nose in becuase it's illegal and yes, I think making a figure like this is pretty crappy. And people should understand the details. Especially when there are posts about how it's hot toys fault for not making the figures, when this company could. And how this is so much cheaper why isn't hot toys. Sorry if it hurts your feelings if share a few view point that's not yours. But last I checked there are dozens of posts every day about how bad hot toys or Ssc or other legit companies are, how bad certain figures are and all that. I'm sure you are all over those posts. And don't do that yourself.

As for the person filing a dispute being immature becuase he filed a dispute (one sixth rules can say anything they want, but they can't supersede paypal, and if the guy felt he needed to file a complaint there's nothing wrong number with it)..come on. The guy that threatens to put a customer who filed a complaint info on the Internet and says they will track him down is the one that immature and childish. If the seller did nothing wrong he would have zero reason to flip out over it. All he would need to do is submit the info to paypal. There's no penalty for someone opening a case unless they decide you violated paypal policy. And then it's usually a refund at most. But instead the guy threatened to compromise the buyers info and identity and "find" him. But sure, the guy that asked for a refund the "wrong" way is totally out of line. I see it now. What was I thinking.

Dude, if you want to talk about illegal stuff here, this community has a strong base of custom and commission work that doesn't have the licensing requirement. So yeah I can see that you also hate what most people here love. And seriously, usually I don't repeatedly bash about something that I don't like because I don't want to fill my head with all the bad stuff. Instead, I focus more on the thing I like so the positivity keeps flowing within a topic. And yes, I do concern about bad issues with the figures' QC in other thread to make sure I make the right decision before buying something. That's completely different from what you're doing right here. If you stereotypically hate this non-licensed figure in the first place and don't tend to buy it then why would you care so much about it? Like someone said on this thread: "stop beating the dead horse". I do respect others' opinions. But if you don't like it, just leave it and move on.
As for the guy, going straight to paypal instead of explaining the situation to OSK first is what makes him unprofessional. He shouldn't have done that. If everything goes wrong with the negotiation between the two then I say paypal is his right move to solve the problem. But after all of that, paypal has finally agree that OSK was right on his end with all of his terms and conditions. So I can see that the guy is just trying to make some advantage for his own. Got the refund through paypal but still tries to jack the deposit from Kit by ruining his reputation.
