Awesome, I did the same thing.

Here's me and a friend in my new gov't backed green vehicle. :lol

You aren't coming to CC are you? :lol No the year has been rough, work is a ^^^^^^, and I usually just am plain damn miserable. But I do love black cars. It fits me.

No, wish I was! :D

Work is what gets me down too. I start back in less than a month. Not looking forward to it. :(

Work sucks. Maybe next time you can make it. This will most likely be my only chance. So like in the Last Starfighter I am going to grab on and hold on tight. I had to fight hard and grab on real tight to be able to attend. Glad I can make it though.

Come on Mesa! You can find a way to make this more political than that. :lol

Nah, I won't mess with your thread more than that. Not drunk enough... yet.

A buddy of mine is planning on trading in a Ford '88 truck for this same program.. I told him to go for it. Get the money while the pursebook is open.

Words of advice for anyone else thinking of doing it, funds are limited, and program is only open till funds run out, so get off your bon-bon eating fat ***** and take advantage of the free money that the US government is dolling out. :peace:

I will agree with that. For anyone that doesn't know part of the stimulus package is that you get all your taxes back on a new car. Go for it. I am not getting into details but it is out there. I also plan on buying a house by November. Take advantage while you can freaks. :rock

Mesa you better be ready to drink my friend. I have been training and you are going down sir! LOL! See you on Wednesday my friend! :chew

YEARS ago I think you used to be able to deduct your car loan from your taxes. Not ever in my day though. :(

Good move, Keith! :rock I did the same exact thing 2 years ago... traded in a loaded Trailblazer with the 3rd row, etc for an Accord. I'm saving about $600 a month.

Nice looking ride man, I have been debating car shopping right now too; I have heard briefly about the govt car stimulus, but I need to find out more.

I think I made the right choice too. Gas was killing me and why not buy something that is a little fun. Again I know there are way faster cars. That wasn't my intent. I just wanted something fun that saved me some money.
