And the G1 purists will cause message boards to crash with endless whining about their childhood's being ruined

Contrary to their belief they only make up a small minority of the movie's audience and the simple fact is the masses don't give a crap about G1 or any of the other cartoons & comics,they just want a big dumb action movie with lots of explosions and a few hot chicks and Michael Bay seems to do this as well as anyone.

For some retarded reason G1 purists think that lame 80's cartoon is the ultimate example of storytelling when in actual fact it was nothing more than a glorified toy advert and it should be no suprise to anyone with half a brain that the new movies are much the same only with far better visuals and IMO that's all they should be.

I didn't like the way the robots looked initially but most of them grew on me in time and in some cases I think they look far superior to their G1 incarnations.

If I had any real issue with the first movie it was the so called humor which was mostly lame but that's true of most Hollywood movies and I can overlook those bits because the scenes I really cared about ( the action ones ) were pretty good and I expect ROTF will be the same.

Yeah, it does. But then you have to expect/accept that. There is no way to bring all of the very same characters together in movies like this without concocting something so contrived that it's no better than a 12 year old's fanfic.

cant wait for this but im not feeling the "megatron wants whats in my mind" BS! sam witwicky im assuming has some magic info thats been passed on to him that megs wants! cue major bay explosions and robo fights that happen so fast, you blink,you miss it! hope the story doesnt turn out to be too cheesy!
