stop what? i don't see the mass problem. all i see is a few isolated incidents by disturbed people. Gang violence is more of a problem.

The debate on Stem Cells was already primed to continue as the Obama Administration plans to reverse and/or overturn some of the Bush Administration's policies on it, this will complicate it and continue it further since AIDS is a pandemic.

It would be an interesting breakthrough if it all pans out but the article did make it seem like a fluke that has theoric possibilities which is far from breakthrough yet but on its way...

At the risk of breaking my own rules - I've heard this argument that churches could have their tax exempt status revoked because they refused to perform gay marriages. But it doesn't really hold water.

A restaurant can "refuse service to anyone" but an institution completely separate from government and dealing with something as sacred as a person's faith can't do the same?

And people have been trying to revoke the tax exempt status of the "Church" of scientology for many, many years but haven't been successful, and they're are much better reasons for them to pay taxes (they're richer than the Pope) than anti-discrimination laws.

There is no stem cell ban. All the "ban" was is that the government doesn't fund it. Any private person or company can do it if they have the money.
