Well I done with my Mal Custom :chewhere's some pixs I hope you guy like him(Thanks Black Bird for painting my head)....

I might get a Mal coat too down the line as soon as i get some more money in

here he is with some of my Angel Figures and Serenity

and just forfun I made him in to Rick Castle (Yeah Cordelia Chase want a copy of his book LOL )

Josh- Your paintups are UNREAL! Mal and Zoe are absolutely gorgeous too........wow

Vampire With Soul- I really like your little Castle addition there at the end! awesome! The paint on your Mal is crude when held next to SmallStudios' work, but I like your overall Mal buildup! Very cool!

Oh, just to reiterate from an earlier post:

I have two castings, 1 Mal and 1 Jayne that have bad necks. The heads are perfectly cast, but the neck's didn't pour properly. If anyone plans to chop the neck on either Mal or Jayne, you're welcome to these castings. Just PM me.

Addendum: the heads have been claimed! Thanks everyone.

Holy crud, those are some great paint applications. Nice work!

Is that all done with airbrush? or a combination of base + shading using airbrush and hand brush painted details?

Again thanks alot for the comments. I mainly use paint brush for the skin tones. For larger projects i will use an airbrush for a base coat.

Here's my WIP Mal. The head ofcourse is Trevors. The outfit is Amy Jones. The rig and gun, Stevo's. The boots are from the SSC Rebel Fleet trooper, painted.

If anyone else likes those boots, I recommend going through goHastings. The RFT is on sale for $35. The pants will work great for Jayne and you get a few other fun pieces to use in projects not to mention the Buck body.

Looking good. A tip: Rub the Stevo's rig down with brown shoe polish and buff with soft cloth. It gets rid of the red hue the leather has and gives a nice weathered shine to the rig. Also rub inside with a cue-tip dipped in polish. It will seal the raw leather iinside the holster and prevent the gun from sticking.

What body are you using Prog? I have some some of Amy's clothes coming.... Hoping they fit nicely on a TT...

Oh happy day. Just got the word that Trev is finished with my Firefly sculpts and they will be in the mail Monday. These figures are finally about to become a reality. Next step, get them to Josh for the crowning touch. At 73, I wasn't sure I'd live to see the day I'd have Firefly figures in hand.

I'm using the Hot Toys Wolverine shirt, as I have seen several others do, and it works beautifully.
