Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

I have a feeling that after seeing Josh's work I'm going to throw up when I look at mine.

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

I got started on my Mal. No weapons or paint yet. I put him on a Hot toys True type. I think his scale looks pretty good. I'm not sure on the Wesker boots but they will do ok for now.

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

Thank you for posting your pic! I will probably lengthen his legs just a smudge on my TrueType to make the head work. Looking good!

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

Hey all!

To anyone else who was planing to chop the neck on Jayne or Mal to attach to their figure of choice, I have two castings (1 Mal 1 Jayne)that didn't fill all the way...just drop me a line if you want them. First come first serve!
Thanks guys,
Trev

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

Regarding size - yea, they are a tad bigger than a traditional 1/6. The only one that it's really noticeable is Mal. I'm going to put him on an old big-shoulder truetype and with the coat - it's really not going to be an issue.

My thoughts exactly...only problem is I already padded up the narrow shoulder TT the outfit is on now as well as glued the pants/shirt shut...major pain in the :moon to port it all over now. It's gonna have to look pretty awkward for me to make the switch.

Re: Trevor's Firefly Sculpts

Nice pics everyone...I finally have two of my cast to show you by my local artist..(my skills with a brush aren't nearly as good)

I am curious to see how Zoe turns out...

Like I had mentioned before, he is willing to paint some up for anyone who needs them done. I put the pricing over at the post showing my clothing items for this collection.
Thanks again everyone and let's see those Zoe vests.

Just a hint on painting eyes--usually the pupil is positioned right be low the top eyelid, almost touching---it has to do with how the eyelid tries to shade the eye, otherwise the eyes look like they're very wide in surprise or something.
