My review for Mugen will be up soon, but here are a few pics in mean time. Have to admit I'm having a ball posing this guy, the new body is pretty darn nice on the whole!

On da fridge - Lol! Nice pics!

I really rate the Champloo figs. I probably like Jin more than Mugen though, I think it's a combination of a better headsculpt & his outfit covers up the articulation. (I like his character more from the show - so that's probably a big influence too.)

You NEED Jin too!

Great pics, make me want one even more. I still don't understand why they did the knees like that. So weird.

though small, the magnets they used for these figures are incredibly strong.
great pics wook.

Almost too strong, I had to slide the geta's of the fridge sideways, I feared if I had just yanked them the sandals would have broken.

Rare-earth magnets, really cool items. You can get them in a multitude of different sizes. I use them at work in a heap of different joinery/cabinet making situations. The big ones are so strong you're flat out breaking them apart.

The big ones are strong enough that two of them will pulverize your hand if it gets between them. Like the big larger than a hockey puck ones Jamie often uses on Mythbusters.

I forgot that they changed the knees to those really weird ones. Triad keeps doing that and I don't understand why. They have a really great looking body then change it on release to be uglier and have weird joints the prototype didn't have.

And they STILL show the prototype pictures for all their products even though they are now grossly inaccurate as to the product you'll be buying.

Compared those knees to their product photos

haha, I never did realised that until u point it out. I guess they did it for aesthetic purpose but the end result aint that nice.

They did the same thing with the Eva bodies that everyone waited so long for. They showed us all this for YEARS…

And then this is what they released. I don't understand why they would ruin one of the best female bodies ever shown with those horrible knees. It's even more frustrating that they still to this day use the original prototype images to market the body even though the product bears little resemblance to that body.

It's been how long and you still have a hard on or mad on about Triad Toys?

They previously admitted they made mistakes, etc. how long ago since the EVA/EVO came out and you're still griping about it?

This is old news. Whatever. We know you don't like them. Big deal. A lot of people don't like them for whatever reasons.

Get over it and get back to complaining about HOT TOYS, Sideshow, whatever.

I don't really have any response to that other than I'm going to say what I feel is worth saying. I'm not going to stop talking about things because someone says "stop talking about X".

Triad has shown this weird penchant for making drastic negative changes to their product before release. It's very frustrating and worth pointing out here in regards to the Samurai Champloo figures that those pictured on their site are not the figures you are buying and likewise worth noting they did something very similar with the Eva/Evo release.

I think this is very useful information for those who see these new sales and don't know that even though the product is long since released, that the images on the site do not reflect the product you are buying. Not everyone has read every post in every thread on every forum. These aren't the Triad forums. You're allowed to be critical of companies and products on these forums. Hell it's practically what Sideshow Freaks is known for. If you have a problem with that you probably shouldn't be posting and reading here.
