^ If they do another TRON, maybe they can have more than one user enter the Grid and actually have one of the Users die in it. It would be interesting cause then we could see what/how a user would "derez" in the grid. But maybe they want to keep that a mystery.

No spoiler tags because the movie has been out for a week now, and you shouldn't be reading this thread if you haven't seen the movie and plan to.

Flynn's death doesn't count since he used his power to create that massive explosion, so we didn't really get to see how a user would die in the grid.

just saw it again, this time in IMAX. Loved it again and the Castor scene was a bit less stupid knowing it was coming. Really do like this film.

Do gods die in mythological movies like Clash of the Titans?

I reall thought the religious conotation of the film did a good job moving past the first film, which established it, but in a way that was very obvious for kids to understand. This film, it was much more buried in the story, which makes it more profound of a metaphor.

Completely out of context, I know...but I ducked into the theater showing Tron after seeing something else and could only handle 10 minutes...what a bore! Even Jeff Bridges,in his Jor-el style bathrobe, looked (and sounded) bored. The blond kid is awful (and what's with the fake-husky voice?) and I was convinced the Beiber Bowl-Cut woman was actually a manikin until she actually spoke.

Glad folks are digging this, but from what little I saw...10 minutes was more than enough...

I saw it again yesterday, Son of Flynn goes before Encom Part I indeed!
BTW Overture and Finale are not part of the film... they are just for the Album.

So did TRON/Rinzler die at the end of the movie cause I saw his lights got from red to clear or blue.

Hmmmm...don't recall personally insulting anyone with my opinion, just stating my impression....after all the bashing I've read in here over the years about movies I like, I thought some folks could manage to take a little of what they dish out...

Fair enough. I did mention I knew those 10 minutes were completely out of context with what may have gone on before or after that "talky" scene and that I'm getting my impression just based on that...not a complete viewing.

How you can judge any movie by watching only 10 minutes of is what gets me.

The only thing I'm judging is my level of interest in this after seeing this brief scene. It didn't grab me or hold my interest.

Again, not trying to start a war here...just throwing something into the ring.

jedibear, i think u can expect some flak for your comments, simply because u are dissing an ENTIRE movie after viewing only 10 minutes' worth. it's a little myopic and dismissive to do that, no?

as for the soundtrack, it's easily got my vote as the best of the year. but i am also annoyed that disney has split it up like that. ugh.
