I thought the pairing of Hoyt and Jessica was cool, he seems like such an innocent dude and I loved the way he made Jessica feel normal. I was worried that she was going to lose it without someone in her life to keep her centered. I think he might be it.

No, the town is fictional. True Blood keeps getting better and better each week. The first thing I thought when I saw the scratches on Daphne was that she was the minotaur. It'll be interesting to see how things play out.
I'm so much more impressed with this show this season than I was with the last one. Each one is more interesting than the next. I think that Daphne has to be the minotaur, but it must be a were creature. Perhaps related to Maryann.
I'm definitely getting a Manead feel from her - the cult that had went crazy and had sex and then rip people apart. But perhaps I'm just reading too much of the ancient Greek from that one reference to the painting. But now with the minotaur, there are more connections.
The other dog with Sam is the one that he took the form from. He was in the first season as a red herring since we saw Sam and him together a few times.
When the minotaur was standing in the street that was one of the scariest things i have seen in recent TV. It reminded me of the first time i saw Pumpkinhead. Whoever set that shot up was a genius. The doctor was hilarious. You could tell she truly hates vamps and the stuff she was scraping out of sookies back was putred. The fx guys did a great job. Now lets see if Sookie will be tuned into the Minotaur now that she was attacked by it. Maybe she can read it's mind now.

I am wondering if he already did. They show them praying together...and then just cut away. Next thing you know Jason is at dinner...maybe the affair already started but the viewer just doesnt know it yet....Jason sure did look uncomfortable! Could be that he WANTS the wife, or could be that he doesnt want the preacher to KNOW he had the wife.

Well in next episodes previews it shows the preacher acting like he knows something about Jason's intentions towards his wife. OR maybe the preacher is using the wife to keep Jason around.

I'm sure something will happen with Jason and the preacher's wife, but I don't think they'd have it happen off screen.
And I don't think Sookie will be in danger of transforming. Daphne had the scars, but we saw that the vamp blood cured her, and the doc got all the poison out.
The doc mentioned something to the affect that once you had been scratched the komodo waited for your to die and then come back for you, maybe thats whats happened to Daphne??
