I was friggin half way through the first season ondemand and comcast friggin took the eps off to put up the new ones :banghead so now I gotta rent the rest of the eps from blockbuster :banghead

Yeah, Jason didn't join Light of Day because he hates vampires. He joined because while he was in jail he asked for a miracle and thought they were the reason he was found innocent of all the murders.

Jason is more dumb than anything else. He's proven this time and again. Even with the obviously fake plastic fangs, for a moment he actually thought Sarah was a vampire. He wasn't just roll-playing.

I didn't even think of that! :horror:duh:horror

Nor did I... that makes a lot of sense.

Great episode all around, the season opener was a bit slow... but this one things picked up nicely. Lot of good cliffhangers at the end :rock

And my guess is Lafayette will be changed, just can't see them killing him off like that.

He's my favorite character and definitely the most interesting, no way they can kill him off.

Yeah, at this point its either change him, or kill him. I dont think a human could survive three high level vamps feeding off of them at once. I doubt the character will be killed off because he's so popular so I would guess change.

I was laughing at one of his quotes last night when he was talking to Eric, something like, "...If I got a Jew's chance at an Al-Qaeda rally...". :lol

The most interesting part of the season so far to me is the Sheriff of the next territory over is twice as old as Eric (who was an original viking) and has gone missing. Who or WHAT is powerful enough to abduct and control that level of vampire??

I am gonna guess that I am wrong, but what if it was the Church of light? What if they use that ancient vamp's blood to super boost thier "leadership students" and turn them into Buffy level vampire slayers. We already saw that a weak vampire's blood allowed Jason to throw the detective guy like a rag doll and increased his senses ten fold. Further more, what if only certain people can absorb the power of a vampire through V while others just get a sexual libedo increase and it acts like acid. Making Jason so special.

Very interesting theory, you may be on to something with this.

Also, Eric asks Lafayette if any of the V dealers mentioned and "new product". Which shows that the power of the ancient vamp's blood would make it different in some way then normal V.

In terms of Jason's special status...he is Sookies brother and we know she is special. So it stands to reason that something might exist in Jason that is a little outof the ordinary.

I think you're right on the money with the V.

Eric and Pam did seem a little hesitant to pursue Jason, but not so much because he's special. It's Sookie they are interested in for her power, they use her for interrogations and if they hurt Jason she won't help them anymore.

my favorite was "...and you making like Muslim Buffy with a ^^^^."

I'm really digging the Light plotline. Jason is an idiot, but he's obviously conflicted and the actor is doing a great job of playing that. They have to be training to be vampire killers and I think we're going to see a showdown between Jason and Lafayette by the end of the season.

The irony of the "Christian" rock song was great too - I almost went to itunes to check out the single.

Great writing and dialogue that's for sure. Slayer Jason Vs. Vampire Lafayette would be crazy, but they are friends and I don't think they'd fight eachother.

The JEsus rock song had me cringing but the girl was cute, they kept showing her, I wonder if she's gonna be a major player.

:lol Yea that had to be the funniest line on the show so far.

It's always nice to see Bill being a bad ass and not just a heart throb. Anytime he glamours someone we see just how crazy he can get, like that cop in the first season who pissed himself, and now that little girl, I really liked that whole scene. Creepy.

Dude I actually LOVED the bible camp crap for one very specific reason....it ISNT a bible camp! Its a boot camp for vampire slayers! Did NO ONE else notice that every person at the camp was young and athletic? And they opened camp with a modified capture the flag football which required you to get close to your opponent without getting destroyed?

Also, the guy Jason is rooming with blew out his knee playing football...and then had to work REALLY hard for 4 years to get into the camp. Its because they didnt want him with a bad knee...once it healed they invited him in!

Yes but I would not want to be a vampire slayer, I would want a Vampire to turn me.:D

when he glamoured that girl I was like "oh yeah" what a great scene. haha and I thought it was funny that the shop girl thought Bill and Eric were gay.... classic

Nah dude, they would totally fight! Jason's gonna be brain washed by the bible thumpers, and Lafayette already made it very clear that as long as he lives he will do whatever the vamps want! My guess is though, that if they did fight, it wouldnt be to the death and would lead to some team up or something or other.

Who said he was abducted? :naughty

Anyone read any of the books? :read :lol

I heard though that they are deviating more heavily in season 2 from the books. that could be wrong though.

They are of course. The books are only ok and there is no sex like the show, so it would be kinda boring if they didn't.

And if anyone did, then they'd know that
Lafayette died in the books and that's who was in the car, not the fake voodoo chick that ripped of Tara and her mom.
