Nice exhibit. I sold a few items to a museum in the UK, but I'm not sure that's the same one. Note the beautiful Edmontonia, a Shane Foulkes creation.

I can't speak for other people of course, but I wouldn't want to pay for a life size OXMOX dromaeosaur (or anything else) when it has so many scientific inaccuracies - they're clearly making Hollywood showpieces, not museum replicas. Their Rex head looks good, and at least has fewer problems.

That's one BIG Liopleurodon infant. :horror I'm liking the fog effect around the Parasaurolophus vs Deinosochus dio. I wouldn't recomend doing that for an extended period of time though. ;)

That Deinonychus looks gorgeous. Definately a piece to keep an eye out for.

Let's hope the Stegosaurus is revealed next Tuesday.

That is the Liop adult..I couldn't find the infant pic...but it's by the same company.

That fog is great..I have a dragon using the same effect...got to watch out for hard water though.

You have to look at the artistic side as well..who knows what will incorrect in a few years..our entire collections might be out dated. I just love BIG dinosaurs...1/1 scale suits me fine aside from the price. lol

That Edmontonia is great.

The Oxmox Deinonychus pictured really only has the wrists wrong. Yes it's missing the probable feathers as well..but I don't think that has been proven 100% for Deinonychus..the worst thing about is the price I fear.

The Oxmox pieces are definately, as Dan said, Hollywood showpieces. Not to say they aren't very cool. :D

For now, i'll be sticking with Mr. Foulkes, for my 1:1 needs. That is, until Sideshow starts making 1:1 Dinosaurs. If they decide to go that route, i'll lose my mind, and my money. :lol

Honestly I surprised they haven't considered it yet. Some smaller species like Compsognathus , Archeopteryx , heck even a Velociraptor would prob be around 500.00 or so..what with about 4' pieces being just over 300.00 . I'd def be up for that. ;D

There was again no mention of the Tupu in the last Sideshow newsletter..wonder where heck this thing is ?

Maybe there were some delays due to production problems. It does look rather delicate (hollow bones and whatnot).

I get it...heh...that's funny. :cuckoo:

..smilies are fun. ;D

Seriously, I guess it's possible..but Sideshow could update it to March or something. It may release is Feb though..we just may not have it in hand til March. :pfft:

Still no 30 day notice in today's newsletter. The heck is going on?

If anyone is interested, here is a comparison of the Sideshow Styracosaurus to the new Papo Styracosaurus - the influence was admitted openly, it seems.

I can't express how much I wanted the Sideshow piece to be bellowing like the Papo one arrrggghh !!!

Why are so inspiring so many negative emotions in me recently Dan ? lol

I can't figure what's up with the Tupu...it may just spring on us without notice. I've talked to Jorge and Pablo and they haven't said anything about it...just maybe the Stego will be shown for Sideshow's Toyfair event, and we may see a new egg or therapod this year...nothing concrete.

:lol That Papo looks like his tail got slammed in the door.

Don't talk about Papo's Pachyrhinosaurus..er, I mean Styracosaurus like that....:D

I'm having a bad feeling about them not anouncing the Tupuxuara. We're sure that the Dinosauria line is doing well, right? I'd hate to hear that they've cancelled the line. That's my paranoia setting in.:panic:

I've heard from Jorge and Pablo more pieces are coming..so I doubt that's it.

It will either be moved to March..or they forgot to announce it. I also think they did that before with something else.

Maybe Dan can ask his rep about it ? ..but we do still have a month in this quarter..even though the site says Feb.

I wouldn't be concerned. There was a period of time where it seemed like nothing shipped when it was supposed to, so most likely there is a delay of some sort. That it was missed in announcing it is a possibility as well. The statues don't sell out immediately, but they do eventually sell out, so as long as Sideshow factors that shelf life into production and costs etc, I don't see any reason the line won't last. At the very least I need my stego.

We may be a small segment of Sideshow's clientele, but I'd place money on us being the most loyal.

Oh yeah, I'm sure there are plenty of other devout fans that love the line and don't know about the board. I meant in comparing dinosauria to Star Wars and/or Marvel and/or LOTR, etc that we dinosauria fans are probably the most loyal fans.

I can pretty much guarantee it won't be me. I can't even afford everything I want now, forget about upgrades.

Well the only Sideshow line I collect is Dinosauria...and well I don't really collect any of those other lines either. lol

I do collect Dragons, Killer Klowns, and some Pirates of the Caribbean stuff....just burned out on Jack. If SS releases a dragon line like Dinosauria, a line of Klowns, or a Davy Jones, skeletal Barbossa or the like I may in DEEP trouble.. lol

Heck ya !

Of course..there are prob some that just have no idea about this board.

I'm actually curious to see which of us will be the first one to get his piece repainted by a pro...my bets on Jeremy right now.. heh heh ;D

Are we talking about a Tupuxuara repaint? I'm really hoping it won't need it. If anything, i'd get my Tyrannosaurus maquette repainted, since it's my favorite so far. The Apatosaurus could change that. :D

Lucky you. I'm unfortunately a collector of Alien, Predator, Terminator, District 9, Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, and many Anime collectables. :( I've put most of that on hold, to collect mostly Dinosaur collectables. If it wasn't for you and Dan, I wouldn't have found out about alot of these awesome Dinosaur kits.....Thanks alot. ;)
