You might get someone else to build it similarly...not sure who exactly...but maybe start by asking Shane ?

I can def think of more interesting color patterns for him.. ;D

Spinosaurus.jpg

The one used for the head above Charlie also did is pretty neat. Does that head look different from the model version..maybe a bit ?

I wonder when Rader Studios will have that Suchomimus Pair sculpture done ? Might need to shoot him an email.

I was thinking of getting Steve Riojas to do the buildup, as he's the one that did my previous two. I've been really satisfied with his work so far, and I know he's done buildups of the CmStudio model kits before.

That 1:1 Spinosaurus bust is really amazing, and something i'd love to have sticking out of the trees in my backyard. :lol

It occurs to me that Krentz hasn't got any spinosaurids in his lineup yet. In fact, I don't recall ever seeing a spinosaurid from him, in any medium.

I heard from an unreliable source, that he is currently making a 1:1 Spinosaurus just for me. :yess:

Seriously though, I would like to see him do a 1/20 or even 1/72 Spinosaurus.

I've alsways thought his bronze 1/18 pieces would make awesome lifesize bronze sculptures. That'd be a great idea for museums to have up front. :D

Oh, and I can't wait for this Tupuxuara. Krentz's Tupuxuara would make a great background piece for picture taking of the SS piece. ;)

It would look like it was far in the distance, even if you dangled it right next to the Sideshow version.

Dangled the Krentz Tupuxuara, I mean. :lol

If you could alter each piece so it was slightly different..maybe just photoshop one piece multiple times and save 500 bucks ..lol ;D

Yeah, I wasn't really planning on getting six of them.:lol I was planning to photoshop a few shots together, like you said. ;) I'll be taking this piece farther than i've ever taken any other piece, to photograph. Being that it's much smaller than the other pieces, i'm not too worried.

I don't know bro..you've thrown some cash at these pieces already and I'm never surprised by what lengths a dino-fan will go to anymore... ;D

I wish they'd get on the ball and release this one already !

I've got too many wants from the Dinosaur wolrd, to buy multiples of any piece. :lol I need to win the lottery soon, or else i'll have to find other ways of paying for this hobby.

I know what you mean...I've had my eye on this 12' outdoor fiberglass T-Rex for 10+ years..it retailed for 799.00 plus shipping to TN was 375.00...I finally the money together and contacted them...apparently it has now increased to 1199.00 plus shipping. Someone out there doesn't like me...that has to be it.

I also have just about sold all my old dino figures that were worth anything to pay for Sideshow pieces...now what am I'm gonna do to afford em ' ? Prostitution is out...I'm too ugly for that..lol

I still envy you folks since there is a better chance to get such exquisite pieces, including SS dinosauria statues (at a relatively lower price, and also more easily)...

The only good thing about living in this country is that those small, yet beautiful miniature dinosaurs (and prehistoric animals in general) from Japanese companies are pretty common and cheap :)

Btw, I really want to receive this pterosaur maquette but it seems to take forever :(

I've still got alot of respect for you Dyscrasia, especially when it comes to the bigger pieces. I'm sorry prices get so crazy for you, but that's how life goes. I'd love to get the 1:1 Deinonychus #2 by Oxmox Studios. Unfortunately, the location it would ship from is Germany, so the Euro would kinda kick my ass. Not to mention shipping and any other fees such a large piece would demand. :(

I'm glad for the low price point of the Tupuxuara, for the sake of all international buyers.:hi5:

Same here bud, your nothing if not dedicated to this series.

You've eying that Oxmox Deino as well eh ? Heh heh I got to see one in person at Dinosaur World in Cave City, Kentucky year before last. The paint was slightly different..but it was still a standout piece. I asked them if they had a dealer in the U.S. but never got a reply. Maybe their 1/1 Velociraptor will be cheaper..if it ever makes it out.

I haven't even heard a release date for the Tupu yet..it should have been mentioned in the newsletter weeks ago.

Lucky you, getting to see one up close.:pfft: If it were me, that statue would have gone mysteriously missing. ;)

I'm sure they probably won't be selling any of there stuff in the U.S. You might have a chance at getting one of their other products, not related to Dinosaurs, in the U.S.:(

I really want to see their 1/4 Liopleurodon, since I haven't seen any large scale representations of that beast. I'm sure it will cost a fortune.:(

As far as the Tupuxuara goes, the product page says February, so it should be out soon. I'd also like to see more pics of their Stegosaurus piece.:tap

Lord don't tempt me..when you can't afford something your mind already goes toward.." other " methods of obtaining it..lol I don't need a push or anything.. lol

If there was a place carrying some of their items they might be able to get the dinos. I'll have to keep checking around...maybe Dan can get em' for us.. heh heh ;D

I've seen a Liop reconstruction that was full size and a baby..I'll see if I can find a pic of them again.

I'm hoping the Stego is shown around Toy Fair which starts Sunday.

That's one BIG Liopleurodon infant. :horror I'm liking the fog effect around the Parasaurolophus vs Deinosochus dio. I wouldn't recomend doing that for an extended period of time though. ;)

That Deinonychus looks gorgeous. Definately a piece to keep an eye out for.

Let's hope the Stegosaurus is revealed next Tuesday.
