I just watched it and thought it was pretty dang good. And definitely better than I expected with all the hate going on.

Not sure why my best friend is obsessing on it either, Cloud, but she told me to watch it a second time and I will. :D
And, evidently, Robert Pattinson is incredibly adorable during interviews so I'm off to YouTube some of them and really let my inner cougar out of her bag! :lol

But I do have a favor to ask...

Since I'm not planning on reading the book or series, would someone please fill me in on why:

I have a feeling it'll make me enjoy the vamps even more...

Yeah basically they look the way they do to lure their prey in. The writer knew nothing about vamps when she wrote the book. Actually she had a dream that she was laying in a meadow with a vampire that was very attractive. She was turned on and terrified at the same time. She woke up and started writing everything she could remember down. Hence the scene with Bella and Edward in the meadow in the book and movie. ;)

Ah, okay- thanx! :D

Although I love and totally appreciate the monsterish type of vamps, like in 30 Days... Bela was my first love, and being a woman, savor the seductive ones Oh So Very Much! :drool

Yeah I am a bigger fan of Dracula and Anne Rice. Both are supposed to be seductive. Im not a fan of the more feral vamps.

seriously though, to me... it's the most realistic (say of a depiction of a vampire from vampire lore) type of film and representation of what I think a vampire would be like in real life. overall, my favorite vampire film. and i've seen a lot of vampire films :lol

Yes, Keith, on Mondays I try to hit up my local Finnish bath house and spend 1.5 hours sweating my pretty little a$$ off in an 180º hot box. :D

Okay, so I just finished watching Let The Right One In.

I really really liked it. I really did. But I honestly have to think about it a bit before posting a "review" in the appropriate thread. Def not your usual vamp flick...
