You can watch online now. Kongo/Velasquez is on. Shan't say anything else, because of spoilers.

Is there a spoilers grace period?

I think the biggest thing Velasquez showed tonight is his inexperience.

He should have finished Kongo off. Yes, it was a dominant performance, but against a fighter with no real ground game to speak of, and obviously no brain either. Why the hell did Kongo try to take Cain down and grapple with him? He almost knocked him out 3 times (Cain got a helluva chin!) Kongo should have just backed up and picked his shots better and avoided the takedowns more. Yes, easy to say from my easy chair, but seriously, would Cain have done that well against a more experienced fighter? He really didn't seem to have heavy hips or really hold Kongo down and control him well on teh ground, more like Kongo just didn;t know what to do while on his back. Cain got serious potential, but I don't think he showed us the next big contender tonight, he definitely needs a few more fights first. Good to see him humble at the end of the fight. Just my opinion. :monkey3

I agree Cain still has more experience to gain and stuff to improve on but Kongo is tough to take out...and we know Cain has power. i'm interested in seeing him defend against submissions and also seeing him fight against more top-notch competition. Kongo was rumored, if he won, to take on the winner of the Mir/Lesnar fight.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

Tim Sylvia got KTFO by Ray Mercer in 9 seconds!!!!!!!

Arlovski = 22 second KO to an unranked HW.
Tim Sylvia = 9 second KO to an unranked HW and NON-MMA FIGHTER!

And these 2 guys were Fedor's biggest challenges since 2005!?

Bahahahahahaha.. where's NASEDO?

Nah, I suppose not. I just wanted to wait till the ppv aired.

As for your post.

I think Cain could have finished him off too, but Kongo is just so damn tough. Kongo has used his ground and pound pretty effectively agaisnt guys with lesser ground games. I think he tried to rely on that tonight. I also think Kongo should have used distance strikes. Sure you and I are watching from our easy chairs, but considering Bisping was saying to push off, I think it was the game plan. Imo Cain is definately a contender. Kongo would have gotten the title shot for sure with a win. Sucks for Kongo, he's been extremely close to the title twice.

Saw that. I need to check out youtube and see if it's up there.

Posted above man. Look at how SLOW he falls. Bahahahahaha..

Awesome, thanks. Tim-ber.

Well...it looks like Cro Cop is one and done with the UFC after his win. Sucks, I'm a big fan of his, and just wanted to see him compete there again. Going out on a win doesn't make too much sense to me, but I suppose he has his reasons. Probably money. :(

Screwjob. Promise the UFC you'll stay. Get an easy fight. Win. Then go with another promotion for 3 fights with that buzz. That's pretty much a burned bridge though. So I wouldn't expect Cro Cop to ever return to the UFC. Like Matt Lindland.

Yep. Kinda upset to see him pull one over on the UFC. I'm really surprised that they let him sign a one fight deal, but considering his past UFC record I it's not that shocking. I don't think there's any way he will be back.

That's pretty sad. I really don't like Cro Cop anymore. I was taking up for him ven though some people had said he won by eye poke (which was a big reason he did) but I was saying that Al Turk was still dazzed from being dropped.

Hey does anyone know if Dana White expressed his opinions about Cro Cop? I love watching his videos when he's cursing people out.

Oh yeah he's expressed his opinion. :lol

Dana White said:
“He didn’t keep his word,” White said, who said he’d had a two-hour talk with Filipovic on the day Filipovic texted and asked to be able to return. “He talked about honor and all this other [expletive] and he [expletived] me.

“He fed me this bull [expletive] about wanting to take a run for the title, and what I think he did was, he went out and did this. He turned down every other [expletive] fighter I offered him, because I needed him to fight Cain. He didn’t just poke Al-Turk; he poked me, too.”

I was actually surprised at Cain's jaw, either Kongo has iron fists or Cain has a Glass Jaw, Cain was dropped with just about every shot Kongo landed....

Yeah.. but he's lucky, he has his wrestling to fall back on in those situations. You saw everytime he got dropped he immediately took Kongo down. His biggest problem will be against a guy who can punch AND has equal wrestling ability i.e. Shane Carwin or Brock Lesnar.

Yeah man, Cain should of finished that fight in the 1st with that rear naked choke, I guess he still need alot of training to do....He atleast showed good recovery time after being rocked....

Very good PPV Sat. The Franklin-Silva fight was great. I can see Franklin making some noise at 205.

I'm a big time Franklin hater, but it's time to put him against someone that will move him up the LHW ladder. His last two fights haven't done that for him imo. Maybe the winner of Jardine vs T. Silva.

damn just read about cro-cop. well he doesnt really need the UFC, he's already a big name and will probably make way more money in Japan than dana white will ever offer him.

Have you guys seen the ridiculous payouts for the WEC 41 fighters? Put it this way, Pulver made the most at only $31,000. Most of the other guys were fighting for a measly $1,500 - $2000 bucks. lol

Doubt it. If that were the case Cro Cop would've never signed with the UFC to begin with.

*NOTE: I don't know what is what concerning Cro Cop. Some people are reporting that Cro Cop signed with DREAM. Even Dana White is under that impression. But a lot of other places are reporting that Cro Cop has NOT signed with anyone yet. And I even saw a translated interview supposedly from Cro Cop which states the same. So I don't know what's going on with this. it could be BS and rumor. So until it's official i.e. you see Cro Cop in DREAM I wouldn't count out Cro Cop re-signing with the UFC.

Many fighters, even fighters outside the UFC (Josh Barnett, etc.) have stated those numbers are not accurate. What you see from the official reports (given to the State Athletic Commission) does not represent what fighters actually get.

Anyone who thinks Faber isn't making mad money with the WEC is grossly misinformed. Randy Couture made close to $1.5 million from his fight with Gonzaga. That figure was not the official figure released and reported to the public. The UFC has locker room bonuses.. which is money given to fighters backstage that has nothing to do with their contracted money (the figure that gets released). Certain fighters also get PPV revenue. So those numbers are misleading.
