Doubt it. If that were the case Cro Cop would've never signed with the UFC to begin with.

*NOTE: I don't know what is what concerning Cro Cop. Some people are reporting that Cro Cop signed with DREAM. Even Dana White is under that impression. But a lot of other places are reporting that Cro Cop has NOT signed with anyone yet. And I even saw a translated interview supposedly from Cro Cop which states the same. So I don't know what's going on with this. it could be BS and rumor. So until it's official i.e. you see Cro Cop in DREAM I wouldn't count out Cro Cop re-signing with the UFC.

Well pride had folded and was DREAM even around when Cro signed with UFC at first?

Many fighters, even fighters outside the UFC (Josh Barnett, etc.) have stated those numbers are not accurate. What you see from the official reports (given to the State Athletic Commission) does not represent what fighters actually get.

Anyone who thinks Faber isn't making mad money with the WEC is grossly misinformed. Randy Couture made close to $1.5 million from his fight with Gonzaga. That figure was not the official figure released and reported to the public. The UFC has locker room bonuses.. which is money given to fighters backstage that has nothing to do with their contracted money (the figure that gets released). Certain fighters also get PPV revenue. So those numbers are misleading.

Didnt know about that either, but makes sense. Still, when your contracted money is only $1500 for a fight, i can't imagine them getting very much more outside of that.

How much do you think Faber actually pulls in with the WEC per fight?

No DREAM wasn't around, but he had other options. He could've signed with BodogFight and then participated in Yarennoka! exactly like Fedor did in '07. Then he could've signed with Sengoku in '08 like Barnett did. And then eventually sign with either Affliction or DREAM like all the other fighters from PRIDE who didn't go/weren't invited to the UFC.

Cro Cop made a minimum of $350,000 per fight in the UFC. I seriously don't see DREAM or any other company (minus those Affliction retards) paying more than that for him. Maybe coming off the OWGP win.. but not now. But who knows.. crazier things have happened. :lol

Oh I'm sure they don't. I was talking about the named fighters in the UFC/WEC.

Total guess: At least $60,000 per fight. And that's before fight bonuses (FOTN, Sub/KO of the Night) and Sponser money. So I'm sure dude is happy. He's had numerous opportunities to leave. There's other places he could be fighting at. So he must be comfortable where he's at. I would think.

I believe all of the UFC bonuses are reported. I have heard Dana mention who got how much (sub of night, fight of night etc) during the post fight press conferences. As far as pay per view money, public usually wouldn't get this info because it takes a while before the fighters get their money. I can;t imagine Dana handing out unreported cash in the locker room - the IRS would be all over this.

As far as Faber, he probably makes most of his cash from endorsements, but I'm sure he's not getting chump change from the WEC itself, he basically is / was their Chuck Lidell. Watch MMA weekly on HDNet and you'll see it's not uncommon for fighters to make 2000-3000 per fight early in theih UFC career, as unfair as it is.

Oh no.. not like that. Locker room bonuses (extra cash) is most definitely reported. To the IRS. But NOT to the NSAC. Because it's not necessary or required. The money reported to the athletic commission is just the base salary of each fighter. UFC releases the fight night bonuses (FOTN, Sub/KO) but that's not the "extra" money I'm talking about.

The only reason it was ever made public that Randy Couture got like $1.5 Million for the Gonzaga fight is because Randy left the UFC and complained about his pay. So the UFC countered that claim by releasing how much they actually gave Randy. His base pay was $250,000 (No Win Bonus). Randy also got FOTN so him and Gonzage got an additional $35,000 each. That was the official amount released to the public: $285,000. Big difference between $1.5 Million and $285,000. Couture received a check for $500,000 in the locker room. He doesn't deny that. So that night alone, he got $785,000. The rest came from PPV revenue.

That's what I was saying. It's not illegal, under the table money. Nothing like that. The "Locker Room Bonuses" are all legit and legal.

I think these guys are going to let it all hang out in the ring. Nog's last fight he was coming off of a staph infection and a hospital stay, according to Junior Dos Santos.

Exactly. Plus it had the whole UFC vs Pride thing going for it. Instead we get the lamest possible unification fight imo. I would have been happier with Nog/Lesnar or Mir/Couture.

Agreed. I prefer those match-ups as well. Hey.. maybe Nog will beat Couture and maybe Brock will beat Mir and then we'll get to see those match-ups later. :D

Hey does anyone ant to do UFC fantasy? I ttried it out fo the first time at UFC 99 and I did really good. I got 29th out of over 17,000 people. It's free and you can win prizes.
